What you'll also find out is that when you go to the doctor and ask them to test for STDs they test for only HIV, Chlamydia, Syphilis and Gonorrhea. Herpes isn't even a part of the panel. I asked multiple doctors why they don't test and they said they only test in the instance of an outbreak because if they did a blook test almost everybody would test positive. Let that shit sink in

I also wasn’t educated until I educated myself at 18-19… meds for it about a year and a half or so ago. I also take lysine. I can have one and get another one during that one… one will go away fast as hell and the other one stayed full two weeks… then I won’t have one 3-6 months.

Sorry to hear that. Please try not to overthink it. There are about 80% of people living with herpes. It's way more common than we think. The chances of passing it in your sleep are very minimal, unless you would have an actual cold sore and touch somebody. Even so, herpes wouldn't just transmit to someone's arm, for example, unless they would just have a cut or a wound there. If you'd sleep better, we'd suggest covering the sore with a band aid.

For me, the only thing that really changed was my thoughts about dating and sex. I still look forward to practicing guitar and weight lifting. Hey man, sounds tough bro. I don't know what you're going through, but, as I've mentioned to others in the thread, it's time to diversify life. I have only dated a few people in my life and now I feel like my options are limited. But, I do feel like the avenues exist to meet people. If you are having difficulty talking about a vulnerability, you might just need to talk more to people like me. Using a journal can also help to practice speaking about what makes you vulnerable.
