Had a good day and got to see the big girls.
Species in order:
Eastern Garter Snake-Thamnophis s. sirtalis
Timber Rattlesnake - Crotalus horridus
Northern Ringneck - Diadophis punctatus edwardsii
Eastern Copperhead - Agkistrodon contortrix
Grey/Eastern Ratsnake- Pantherophis alleghaniensis x spiloides complex.
Eastern Copperhead - Agkistrodon contortrix
Timber Rattlesnake- Crotalus horridus

I live in NYC and I frequently travel upstate to go hiking in what is probably considered timber territory. My goal this year is to go herping and find timbers. I understand you don't want to reveal specific den locations, but any tips for finding them? Should I explore Google Earth and go off trail to find rock formations? Any advice is appreciated!

Is your GoPro on head or waste. Are you more out of focus when strapped to head?? I have some videos of WV Rattlers if your interested.

LuvingTheOutdoors its on my head. Its good for getting action but not sp much for clear footage

Thanks for replying, in the process of bringing my RU-vid channel back up, problems with my other channel got deleted by mistake, lost subscribers, started all over, lot of Timber Rattlesnake videos to come from WV
