I am convinced Hershey did some work on Fahrenheit. I was never a big fan of the ride, but I was able to ride it in the very back twice last week and it was incredibly smooth and fun. Comet is not how I remember it either, since I remember it having decent airtime. I went on it once and had literally 0 airtime. Maybe it's because it is early in the season, but comet was a nothing burger when I rode it. The restraints are only slightly better with Skyrush. The problem is the first drop stapling the restraints and now, although it doesn't go down AS hard, it still goes down hard, and the thigh dips make it crush your center area 😅 I need to try riding skyrush while holding the restraint up.
Totally understand your take on Rush. I used to dislike the coaster, but once I rode it leaning forward with the restraint on my waist, it became my number one at Hershey. I was able to pay attention to the coaster's varied laterals and sense of freedom with no pain. I was laterally tossed around more as a result of leaning forward. Laterals this deranged is a fair trade for a little pressure. In my opinion, the restraints add to the horrifying nature of the ride since you can't brace for anything.
I really agree with your opinion on Great Bear. It is pretty overrated and also my least favorite invert (it’s even behind the Batman The Ride Clones). Nice list it’s very unique 👍
I'm definitely one of the people disagreeing with the Skyrush hot take. Have you been on it yet this year with the new restraints? I never had a problem with the old ones either, but also I'm a fatass so I'm stapled in every ride lol
just went on it and i did get stapled down to my seat but maybe that was because they were very tight to start, still loved the airtime and g force you get on that ride
Every take shouldn’t have the disclaimer that it’s a hot take, it reads as if you’re trying to be the “hot take” guy here. Makes me think the rankings are mainly for clicks but maybe that’s just me
