Ironically, I feel like they suit each other's parts better. Diana doesn't have a lot going on in her scene so the reliance is on facial expressions (which Ginger is the best at), plus if I remember correctly from an article I read she's a pageant girl so she would be able to exude the energy better. Catherines scene is raunchy/filthy, and that's the kind of thing Katya can lean into really well (since a lot of her work outside of the show is in the dark sex jokes vein) and the Russian accent would be the cherry on top. She could also incorporate some fun gymnastics things. I feel like that's what would have happened if they were allowed to pick their parts and weren't just assigned them.

They gave her a little square to work in and an unfunny verse along with a diva whose most iconic look is a wedding dress known for its train which she couldn’t wear since it would inhibit her movement during her choreography in the other girls parts. She was screwed from the start
