I’m a “classical” concert pianist and piano teacher in conservatory, and a metal lover, at the point I’m bringing on a project called “Chamber Metal”, in which I translate metal pieces in a classical piano language, both for piano solo and for piano & electric guitar duet. I strongly believe these two big genres, despite the appearances, share so much. I know so many metalheads who love classical music. They are so sensitive towards high quality music, because even in metal there’s a lot of high quality 😎

@@AlessandroMarinoPianist I've heard of people who enjoy both classical and metal very closely. Just didn't expect to see someone like that here on a serious classical channel like that. I'm one of them. But I got into following classical music from a legendary metal guitar prodigy, Jason Becker. And since I ran into someone who translates metal into chamber works, I have a request. Please consider translating something off Jason Becker's 'Perpetual Burn' (1988) album, perhaps something like 'Altitudes'. If you don't know Jason, I strongly suggest to look him up. All his legendary metal body of work was done before he was 20 and then he got diagnosed with ALS and got debilitated. But that did not stop him from composing. He is still alive 35 years later (now longest ALS survivior after Stephen Hawking passed, who he met by the way) and released 2 amazing albums in fully paralyzed condition while hooked up to a ventilator. He had to literally blink it out of his mind with his eyes to his caretakers who wrote it down note by note. He is one of the most inspirational humans I know of and one of the most respected musicians not just in metal community but in general. He himself composes romantic chamber works nowdays.

@@AlessandroMarinoPianist There is already a chamber translation of Jason's classical contrapuntal 'Air' piece by Konstantin Kokourov, a Russian modern classical composer who got inspired by Jason to study music when he was a kid himself. But nobody translated his actual metal into chamber works yet. Jason has a large following, ~300K people on Facebook. If you do it, it will get your name out there without a doubt.
