Outro Tear has some of the most emotional, raw, heartbreaking lyrics set to an incredibly well produced beat with orchestral elements, toiching on the process of digesting heartbreak with some of the best rap flows and switches I have ever heard. agustd and rm are some of the most respected rappers in kpop who also started underground (and jhope devoured outro tear as well)

im telling you right now you hate kpop because you truly dont know what kpop is. english media so media from america, canada, uk, australia etc any english majority country spews the same narrative and propaganda about foreign music or foreign anything in general tbh. kpop isnt pop music its korean music thats popular not pop genre only. next would be the stereotypes of it being disney-like/family friendly for kids or the artists being controlled puppets, or the artists not being allowed to do this or that like dating etc all of this is not the case for bts and for many other kpop groups. some keyword SOME artists and groups do sadly have those restrictions but its NOT the entire industry. the same way all the american artists who do drugs or go to jail isnt the same story for every american artist. when it comes to bts theyre one of the groups with the most freedom and has always been that way since they started in 2013. they write their own music, they produce it, and when they dont write or produce it usually because its in a language theyre not fluent in like english or japanese theyre still the ones picking and choosing which songs to do and looking over the lyrics if they like them etc theyre not forced to do songs nor are they just told what to do. next would be personal life restrictions they all drink alcohol, they all smoke cigarettes/vape, they all have tattoos some have piercings, they are allowed to date they simply choose not do so publicly because they share so much of their lives already so their non famous friends, families and partners are all private its not like theyre forced to keep their girlfriends private they simply choose to. theres a key difference between choice and forced and english media never acknowledges that. next would be drugs no korean can use any drugs so this includes celebrities so thats not a restriction by the industry thats their government because its illegal. they curse as you can clearly tell from this song but they also curse in group music not just solo music. all seven members have solo music and theyre still in the group at the same time. another difference between western boybands who usually break up to go solo while bts can do both because they have the creative freedom to do so. you dont need to like or love every song but i dont think youre a true hater because youre going by things youve read or heard in passing not by actual sitting down and going deep into bts or kpop. if you have any questions or want me to elaborate on anything please ask but hopefully this comment helped you understand some things and to continue to look into music from other countries not just korea because a lot of the stuff spread by media is to make western people not look deeper to plant "theyre abused slaves dont give those corps money youre helping harm them" meanwhile the same can be said for many western artists signed to labels and the same way its not every western artist that same logic applies to korea and any other music industry. what the west is afraid of is western people not consuming their western artists because we find better music in other countries in other languages. thats why they spread these narratives.
