Moong dal kheer or payasam is a healthy dish and most common in every functions of south canara and kasaragod. Moong dal is roasted and cooked then add coconut milk and jaggery and finally dry fruits. Kheer is ready. Moong dal is rich in protein, potassium and fiber and includes nutrients. So it is highly recommended to all age groups. This is best food for babies.
