@@larry97016 for the most part bolt up ride, for a couple hundred miles, let them break in and springs fully settle, then set ride height. If after you install and take for a little ride it's height is not right make small pre-load adjustment to how you want, but may have to fine tune again once broke in. Whe. Tuning suspension think trophy truck vs Monster truck when adjusting, you want it to not be jacked up trying to gain max lift, you want the suspension to just eat all the chop up. And that's with any of the 5 stages, higher stages more tuneabilaty.
I've thought about possibly getting some Elkas for my 800 trail but back when I looked into them they were a bit different. Back then stage 2's had compression and rebound and were about $3000 but you got stage 4 for about that price? WoW! I really like the cfmoto but I don't like how it rides in whoops and really rough terrain
These are Hester edition stage 4 Elka shocks so they are different then the Elka shocks you would get from Elka. You purchase these exclusively through >Hester Motor Sports he also sponsored these videos so they provided the shocks and what a difference in ride quality i am definitely loving them so far.
Yes i did. I had 11.5 clearance in front and 11 in rear. With the elkas out of the box no adjustments yet. 12 in rear 14 in front. I will measure again after i ride more.
