please explain to us how we can setup the wordpress cache , i don't know wich cache plugin should i install , the Nginx helper plugin seems not working for me , i have enabled the Fast cgi for 2 minutes ,but my visitors should wait 2 minutes to see new post in the home page wich is not logic. i liked the cyberpanel but every one says that the nginx webserver is powerful than litespeed especially for big streaming site . please help me to setup my server. i'm lost.

this was not explained, as you have shown under point 2 how to setup own nameserver. but these are not needed when using cloudflare?

@@ivakarlovag6933 when using cloudflare you don't need to add any NS settings on Hestia. You only need to connect your domain to cloudflare, add the cloudflare Nameservers in your domain provider dashboard. Then go back and copy your records such as A, MX etc into cloudflare.

If you want to learn and get better, go with a self managed VPS. Yes HestiaCP is a good panel that's easy to use. I have an initial server setup for Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 11. Ensure you do everything in the video before installing any panel. Here are my tips you must follow for security: 1. Keep a backup. As a beginner you will mess up and a backup will save you. 2. Follow everything in my server setup video . It will definitely help. 3. Use Cloudflare. Go to security settings, turn on bot control and other features. Or just be a complete douche and put your site under attack mode (it may affect some things on your site) 4. Go to crowdsec and create an account and do the 3 steps to connect your server. 5. For WordPress add security plugins and only use themes and plugins from reliable individuals who update their stuff. If you have to use a managed service, go with Cloudways.

Everything works well now but when I try to install WordPress, it says installer not available. I have checked the forum and the admins say they are working on it as it will be resolved on Tuesday

If you're going to use docker, just install docker only. You don't need a control panel to use docker.

Try restarting the server. Are you logged in via IP or have you set up DNS

What are you trying to proxy? Most times if you need to proxy , you should just go with docker/podman and Nginx proxy manager. Depends on your setup though.

HestiaCP will autoupdate letsencrypt for your domain. Cloudflare dns should be faster because they have more data center locations.

Yes you need a valid domain name to run a website. You can also use a subdomain to set up a new website.

My question now is "Do I need to have a valid and clean domain to be used as hostname for installing hestiacp? My valid domain right now is currently hosted on a shared hosting and I want to try the vps. That means my domain has deffirent ip address connected to the shared hosting. Can I use that to install hestiacp on my vps that I just purchased?

For the hostname,use a subdomain and add the DNS records. I recommend using cloudflare for DNS. The video will get to DNS at some point feel free to skip to that bit. If you're using Vultr like I did in the video, add the subdomain when deploying your server.
