Problem Description and Customer’s Requirements.
To support the ever-growing demand for safe hydraulic equipment and end-user operational health and safety, original equipment manufacturers were forced to look beyond the traditional safety devices and control systems.
One option was to incorporate a safety wireless radio remote control solution on the hydraulic equipment to isolate the end-user at a remote location away from the equipment but still be able to control it safely. Yet this solution by itself was not adequate. A complementary mechanical solution which interfaces with the radio remote control was necessary to marry it to the hydraulic system of the controlled equipment.
Solution: How Hetronic‘s experience resulted in a world-class retrofit safety solution complementing the radio remote control.
HETRONIC experienced engineering team in Italy identified that the introduction of a compact electro-mechanical proportional device can address the gap, presenting the hydraulic market with a new safe and value adding solution to meet safety requirements. Hetronic’s MEC-HLC is a proprietary design which complements safety radio remote controls. It makes remote control of the traditional manually controlled hydraulic equipment and applications possible with exceptional accuracy, thereby achieving controlled, precise and safe actuation of the equipment.
The Hetronic solution is built around Hetronic RX 14-HL receiver, a cost-effective and compact control platform that includes a wireless radio interface which can be easy installed on hydraulic equipment. The RX 14-HL controls proportionally the electro-mechanical MEC-HLC actuators with the support of transmitter. Hetronic obtained a market recognition after extensive evaluation and testing of the design with several local customers.
