Lots of filing and sanding instead of just filling the gaps with putty how it's typically done. The craftsmanship is very much appreciated. The coating is beautiful, would be a shame to cover it with gunk, dust and scratches, but I also hope this vise sees a lot of action And props to Brockhaus Heuer for such competent support of their products Excellent job 👍
A real proper restoration I have very high standards it’s just so satisfying to see work of this caliber you have already made it to my top 3 in this category of restorations.
amazing work! I am restoring similar Heuer vice now and was looking how to remove the tension spring and put it back in place - great idea, will do the same!
Lovely work, very detailed keep the content coming . Ps the little metal bandsaw is a very useful tool I replaced the vice rod in mine with acme rod makes it even better . All the best from Ireland

Bei Brockhaus-Heuer Schraubstöcken ist es ja ganz extrem, weil alle 50 Jahre mal mit so einer Aktion wieder für die nächsten 50 Jahre zu sorgen, ist doch genial, oder? So ein Schmiedeteil kann man Generation durch vererben :)

Although i've seen many without a number, back then, when these versions were built, when there was a number punched in the gliding part, it was the production year. Your version was built from 1969 to 1996. The number in the gliding part is the exact year it was built.
