Elemental switch is not strictly necessary, this is actually the niche strategy. Other comps focus on cancelling as many omens as possible to reduce the amount of powerful buffs the boss gets in 40%. The main advantage of this strategy is that with full cut you can survive almost indefinitely and be a guaranteed progress maker in the raid, especially in 40-15% phase, allowing the more difficult elements like light/fire to afk when needed and save resources for the final 15% burst. That's the main strength of water and wind in this raid currently. That petrified debuff isn't actually a true can't gain charge bar effect, it seemingly just reduces bar gain? It's a weird debuff. edit: it seems to have been bugged as of the time of this run. The petrify was fixed less than a day later and correctly stops charge bar gain. So you have to cancel 20M skill if you want to continue using charge attacks for final burst.
