Interesting playthrough. I have the game coming in next week. Just trying to learn enough so that when it arrives I can get straight to playing. So much too this game.
First play of the game I watched that I actually enjoyed. Makes me reconsider not backing on gamefound. Still have some time to decide. Will watch the other videos in your serie

If in the same phase it heals itself to positive health and the next phase (declare again) it is not dead. What do you mean by ‘starting loot’. He forgot starting loot? What do you mean by ‘battle site’. He messed it up somehow? Some further clarification would be great Also in true solo don’t you get to roll your traits twice and pick the best one (like playing 2 characters?)
In a group I would say yes, they can quickly reduce the enemy's ability to make any powerful attacks. Playing solo, not so much. I was still able to be successful though.

From all of the playthroughs I've seen of this game, basically the key to this game is picking a hero with 0 food rating, or very low rating? Or somehow getting a card that lowers it to 0. I don't see how you can ever get past a handful of turns without starving and dying. Not sure about this game, wish I hadn't purchased it. Thanks for the playthrough though.
I like everything but the combat. There’s no dice for combat other than the enemies ability roll, no combat cards etc. all you’re doing is deducting their health from a numerical value written on your character sheet. Pretty boring I think. On that alone I think I’d give this a miss even though it’s interesting.
