My rabbit is having something like that, the injury heals, the skin heals, but the pus keeps on comming out then bursts the skin again, I asked her if she had to perform surgery she says it is not necessary it already lasted around 5 months, do you recommend anything? Antibiotics didn't do much, I don't want my rabbit to keep suffering. She walks and runs, seems like it doesn't bother her that much, but I don't want it to get worse.
Hi Juan, unfortunately we specialise in chickens, and so don't feel comfortable giving advice about rabbits as they have different body make-ups, and so advice for one might not work well for the other. We would recommend maybe seeking a second opinion with a different vet.
