Thanks to just now putting on the closed captioning on an episode of "Friday Night Lights" that was thankfully being captured on a DVR, I just found out the name of this song after, I don't know, TWENTY YEARS of trying to find out the name of it. Not even a joke.
@@SolidIncMedia - Zing! Nice one! Although I’m sure his victims aren’t laughing. He’s one sick MF’r. I hope he has received a few prison enimas…although who knows he’d probably enjoy it.
Something way more amusing about it, an antithesis to good, almost like a rallying cry for unconscionable evil. If it was just a song they picked for the sound then it loses its power.
It's a sports song for sure. I've heard it play after touchdowns, homeruns, hockey goals, and at NBA games, I've even heard it at Arena football games and box Lacrosse too!
@@MrSlenderScare I did as well o watch it first with my kids then my sister is like lets go to the movies I was to see JOKER I was ok so happy to see again on going for the 3rd time to see it's a masterpiece joker 2019
@@kingnothing5678 : Yes, exceptionally funny. Very subtle. But I'm pretty sure, or at least hope, that it was not meant to make people laugh out loud. Glad I watched it in a European movie theatre where nearly no one was laughing.
Same, just realized it was a Gary Glitter song from a Dark Simpsons episode comment... knew who Gary Glitter was through Norm Macdonald Live Steven Marchant’s episode, then it took some creative searching lol
Josue Vázquez Bryce Chaffey
Reminds me of Michael Jordan/Bulls Dynasty years. I live 90 miles southwest of Chicago so of course we all were wearing his jersey, coats, & excitement of the night was to watch M.J. take the basketball court! They played this when they won championships back in the "good old days" when basketball was at its greatest!
Little does one know that the "Hey" is a reference to an instance when Gary's neighbor saw him being flirting with an underaged girl and yelled "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" He simply yelled "Hey" back at her
I love the way he says that, because that’s what Murray called him when he was showing his horrible stand up comedy clip. Murray was the one who sparked the name “Joker”.
Thanks for posting! I was 16 in '72 when this was a mega-hit, and I am currently 61, the exact REVERSE! I figured out how to do some Frisbee tricks while listening to this song over and over, which I still do regularly! Great exercise!
Kerorofan Gary Glitter you sick fuck!! Thank you so much for ruining the Chiefs TD celebration song. "Were going to beat the hell outta of you you you you" Best chant ever!
AWWW YEAH!!! BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF THE OLD CHICAGO STADIUM FROM WHEN I WAS A KID 84 (when Jordan first came here and I went to my first bulls games) 'til 94 when they tore the old barn down *tear THIS WILL ALWAYS BE A CHICAGO ANTHEM for me. Even when they played it in the new stadium The UC. GO BULLS... HEEEYYYYYY!!!!
I'm sure I will get a lot of thumbs down but regardless of what Glitter became (and his troubles are still far from over) I liked the song back then and still brings good memories of that late summer of 1972.
I blatantly remember this song being played during Chargers games after they scored a touchdown when they were still in San Diego, good days, good days…
When I was a young boy in the 70's we sometimes stayed at a nice farm in the school holidays. Gary Glitter knew the farmer really well and would often stop by to pick up various things from him. One day he saw me and my friend Danny and came over to say hello. We chatted for a while and then he asked Danny if he wanted to milk a cow with him in a really dark shed. Danny said yes and later on he mentioned he couldn't see a thing in the shed and the Cow made funny grunting noises. Oh and they didn't collect the milk in a bucket either, which was a bit odd.
Here's a concept people should understand: You can like and appreciate the works of a problematic person without supporting what that person did in their private life. For example, I despise what R. Kelly did to those young girls, but I still like the songs "I'm Your Angel", "Trapped in the Closet" and "I Believe I Can Fly". Liking this song is no different. Separate the art from the artist, people.
