To be fair, Spongebob is a nice guy, but he is also really annoying. Imagine what it's like living between Spongebob and Patrick, and you're trying to relax, those two just come out of nowhere and *sometimes* even just barge into Squidward's house and break stuff. The fish doesn't really know much about what goes on in Squidward's life or even what it's like to live next to Spongebob and Patrick.
