Never realized that he reused samples from old songs... One thing I really like is that he references a lot in his songs using titles of other songs. For example in "empty roads, she's beautiful" he references "this is where I belong". Great reaction and analysis. (My fav songs are "everything's gonna be okay I promise", "alone again", and "this is where I belong" but it's kinda hard to choose)
Log is one of the few artists that can consistently bring me to tears. Paranoid is my favorite off this album, and up there for one of my favorites by him period, the context of the song doesn't matter, his voice alone can give me chills and make me cry, but that COUPLED with his lyricism is just... words cant even describe. it's great finally seeing someone derive the same in awe emotions that i get from listening to Log, so thanks for this reaction.
bro i thought this was gonna be someones first time hearing hylog, so hearing you bring up references from the other songs was fuckin crazy to hear heylog truly one the bests out there
Oh yeah, I've been listening to Heylog since 2021 and I sometimes think I have a little too much knowledge. I love how he references older songs and I remember at one point he stated, back when "Ask Log' was still a thing, that he did that cause of "nostalgia".
when i 1st listened to this album,i was sitting in my bed so excited, and i put my phone away and let it play,the transitions were so smooth i didn't even notice they were different songs,the middle part of running shoes made me so scared,like,omggg,this shit is so real,i was so shocked,when empty roads,she's beautiful began i thought it was the same damn song,the whole song i was flyingg,the yelling is amazing,like this is the 1st time i heard him yell like that,12 gauge is so groovy and the ending is my fav part,the lyrics at the end hit so hard,and the way it goes to blinded by the sun unnoticed is crazyyy,i thought this was a 11 minute song,blinded by the sun had me grabing my sheets,the yellingg!!,had my jaw open,like, this man can do everything,and when the *when family asks abt u* part i thought i was going in a rocket to space,i was sweating,and my heart was going crazy!!,,the knocing part scared the hell out of me,the ending is so beautiful i didn't want it to end,and when it goes to paranoid,my heart aches,the guitar,his voice,ending made my heart ache,i was staring at the floor,paranoid is my fav btw,when it ended,i was so sadd,but at the same time,so happy,i was like> omfgggg,this is the best album of all time!!,anyways,good vid,excuse me for the long text but i just wanted to share my experience w/this album,aight,peace out- btw,my earbuds were falling over and over of how excited i was,i had to force them to stay in my ear,lmao
