I would love to see this turn into a spy/action store where Cal joins the the team and they go off on space missions. Simple but I think it could be good.

My only annoyance is the timing is off with everything. They said that a cycle was 2 years and then they said that the ship had been captured several cycles before the alien ended up in the bar. that means they would have been walking around that station for almost half a decade if you go by the smallest plural for cycles and that the gren didn't check the cargo hold for several years.

The knowledge Cal'ina had of the Hamin was pretty worthless. There was no reason for him to go along on the rescue. A pretty good story in spite of the flaws, better than most.

I'm thinking that is too lucky. However, with the "special" cargo, i suppose clever humans may have had some secret tracking device? It's rare ANY plan survives contact with reality, and rarer still, enemy forces. Still, an enjoyable story.
