Let’s not forget the random trivia fact that the IJ is able to equip MG beams on its sabers, making it the only SEED kit to simulate Hyper Beam Sabers. I love doing that every once in a while.
@@adriflux7704 I wonder if it can fit a bigger beam effect in the head. Because in the movie, the V Fin beam saber is significantly bigger, if I remember correctly.
I would really love to get all the beam effect parts for this suit in Yellow. I think they would contrast beautifully with this pomegranate-pink armor better than the pink beams do. It would also be a cool call back to the Aegis Gundam that Athrun started off with.
17:23 , The HGBD Justice Knight and Injustice Weapons has an adapter to connect Justice type-two hole connection because the Justice Knight's cape is a Justice type backpack.
with the X-Wing jokes if I remembered correctly in the past when director Fukuda was interviewed he also said he took Star Wars as an inspiration when making SEED with Kira being loosely based on Luke and Cagalli based on Leia, also Shinn Asuka from SEED Destiny is being compared by the Japanese fandom to Anakin Skywalker.
Take a shit every time he says, "Like I never seen before" in the build chapter Edit:Oh shit I meant shot uh, my bad (Uh, new edit, please don't do that. I meant shot not shit so please don't do this)
Love the design, the type 2 is literally a star wars reference. Has an X Wing, Athrun's typical Darth Maul beam sabers and the Gundam gets it's arm cut off in the movie loll
Important note for those planning to buy this kit after watching the review. Make sure to test fit the F1-2 and F1-3 pieces (backpack connector pieces) first, because without sanding down them slightly, removal of the Backpack is going to be a bit hard because of how tightly it fits onto the suit (and finding a good spot to carefully remove is hard already with the circular connection of the F1-1 part I had to disassemble the whole Volantes (backpack) just to separate and put my F1-3 piece in hot water to remove the white straining and the disassembly took me around an hour or so just being careful and how tight the whole Volantes was. Hopefully this helps because reviewers rarely or never talk about some of potential dangers a kits parts have to itself. The Revive I.Justice Backpack's C joint issue was at least gladly addressed
Love this gundam. It's got an X wing for the backpack and shoved tons of beam sabers lol. Definitely an Athrun suit. Edit: I'm also waiting for the Athrun Z'Gok.
The joints are specifically designed to make the side kicking poses as natural as possible and they’re excellent for that. Rating a kit’s articulation based on what it isn’t supposed to do seems off.
I have a hot take: The Infinite Justice Type II is cooler than the OG. I prefer the more angular and sharper armor, with some callbacks to the original Justice, and some of Orb's design influence on it, which makes sense story wise. I also like the Volantes flyer over the Fatum, it makes the Justice less bulkier, and I like the indirect Star Wars reference too, and that it's also based on the Ootori Striker pack. I think it mainly stems with the fact that this version of the Justice has more Orb influence, which makes the best designs of SEED, and you can tell that Athrun and Cagalli are still connected together.
The backpack really sold me on this one (love me some classic Star Wars). As well as that wild beam horn! The lack of an absurd number of backpack stickers (like what pushed me away from the Rising Freedom, Strum Gian, ect) means this is my number one of this line that I'm keeping my eye out for.
So what you're saying is: grab the HGCE Infinite Justice, steal this one's backpack and accessories and you will have the perfect Infinite Justice barring the horn beam.
The Infinite Justice Gundam Type II was still and always a tandem unit alongside Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam. With the Type II's "X-Wing" backpack was a really cool throwback feature from a "really old movie", like the time we saw Gilbert Durandal's new mobile space fortress Messiah looks eerily similar to Death Star II (with New Genesis for a Turbo Laser!)complete with his own Emperor's Throne room!!!
It deserves gundarium tier for having minimum stickers aside from Beam rifle which IJ barely uses, and also for eye, just use name-pen and save the day. And Seed action, armor and eyes shining on UV light....
Don’t think so, the Destiny Spec II is pretty much exactly the same as the original Destiny, while the Infinite Justice and Strike Freedom Spec II are different compared to their original counterparts
Yeah the lack of the green line on the chest really threw me off. It's kinda like looking at someone you recognize but feel like something is off about them. Also I think that the Infinite Justices do tend to intentionally come with curved beams for the sabers, the MG one did too
Interesting that the knees have that angled peg for the connection because the P Bandai HG Xabungle has the same construction and it really helps with posing on the ground.
This should have been platinum tier atleast. It was a bit unfair that he only glazed the articulation part without fully moving all parts. It is the same with the original IJ. And while I agree that the moving buttflap was missing, it is fully compensated by the same swiviling joint. Overall, i guess his review wasn't fully flushed out. A bit of a bummer to say.
I think the beam effect for the V fin is too small compared to the anime. It slashed through a mobile suit lol. I think they should've provided a bigger beam effect.
X wing seems like a downgrade, because it is technically the development from the ootori pack (but made it less practical). Prefer the Fatum 01. Yea When I get this, I may as well just buy the original IJ and just make it the best justice. just probably just take the normal IJ body and put it on the new limbs
Yeah you were right. It could cut justice hand if the pilot not careful. And barely can cut but the Gundam hand itself. Also that white stuff on shoulder armor, what is that? Only decorations?
@@FriendlyGaijin With the ranged weaponry at the tip of the wings, yea. ur not cutting anything without shredding your wing. Yea the white bit on the infinite justice every since the original was just there. Originially they were boomerangs. However they were given to the destiny for the gimmick. (Like how they just gave the flying bird drong gimmick to the rising freedom. poor athrun suits just a prototype platform.)
I was gonna get this anyway, but this review did get me somewhat excited for it. I was afraid that it was actually gonna reuse old parts, but seeing it’s all new, with a better frame and sharper details, I am liking it more. I do want to equip double shields on the OG and quadruple sabers on the Type II.
I don’t know why Infinite Justice Gundam Type II’s backpack looks a lot like an X-Wing from Star Wars but I have to admit that the new backpack for Justice is really cool.
IDK if you noticed, but infinite justice type 2 has a huge resemblance in some parts to the original Justice gundam. HGCE Justice Gundam I can feel it!
Bandai should've included the Type 35 Prototype Advanced Railgun that was originally the ∞ Justice Type II's handheld ranged weapon instead of the original ∞ Justice's beam rifle that didn't appear in the movie. It would've made complete sense to give the new suit their new weapons.
if you look at the backpack and meteor unit they both look simaler in the fact that i believe the backpack for the type ii was based from the meteor unit
my favorite part about the hgs in seed freedom is that they really innovate on so many things, yet they don't fully make their predecessors obsolete at times Take this ij2; though its the most advanced and modern (and theoretically best) of athrun's hg justices (seriously bandai hg og justic when), it has enough differences to make the older infinite justice revive and the immortal justice plenty good enough as options. Compare this, for example, with what bandai did with the old 90's hg guncannon and the cucuruz doan's island guncannon; the new one almost entirely outclasses the former in almost every way, from surface quality and engineering to gimmicks and articulation, and unless you prefer the older proportions, spray missile launchers, or other such features, then there really isn't a reason to buy the former. Essentially, the origin movie guncannon *replaced* the old hg. Now compare this with what they did with the hg guntanks. While the origin guntank has much more detail, militaristic aesthetics, articulation, and gimmicks, the old guntank is still just as good of an option due to its more compact size, more series-accurate aesthetics, simple build structure, and cannons that can swivel sideways on those pegs, something the origin version can't do. Thus, the origin guntank, while better, made itself another option: it's amazing, but it doesn't make the old one obsolete. Back to the ij2, I personally think each hg ijustice has its own respective merits: - Infinite Justice Revive: Head sculpt (personal preference), green chest accent, separate/combined beam sabers (more stable imo compared to those on my revive sf), and the fatum 01 lifter + backpack tilt upwards to move the fatum - Immortal Justice: Completely unique aesthetics while retaining justice appearance, leaning more towards savior gundam, beam boomerang x2 + Shield boomerang, polarized blue chest accents, darker color scheme, more curved/slender/pointed arms/legs that look very streamlined, almost human-like in some ways - Infinite Justice Type 2: Surface detail, incorporation of elements from both prior justices, more serious and aggressive, yet recognizable color scheme, x wing backpack for custom potential (seriously someone make an alternate y wing backpack for bombardment operations the groundwork's there), improved leg articulation for better leg blade movement, combining beam sabers (no need to replace parts to combine), sleek immortal-esque limb shapes with infinite justice features, actual alternate hands, polarized beam shield, better engineered beam boomerang storage (it legit killed me on the original how loose it got), unique hinged head blade that deviates from previous justices and adds more melee arsenal, and THE POWER OF GOD (kira lol) AND ANIME (you know what i mean) ON HIS SIDE! edit: it is interesting to note that since the og ij was based on the justice knight, *technically* the justice knight / injustice weapons lifter unit cape can work on the ij2 for a more regal look like a paladin defending his princess (if i said this in olofat cagalli would legit body throw me out the back window fresh prince style lol)
Huh. So, theoretically, not only could you connect the backpack to the Justice Knight, you can buy the Injustice Weapon set and use the plug to mount the backpack into anything else.
The silver part is just like the metallic injections from MGSD Barbatos. It sucks in general, and the only good thing is to help Bandai lowering the cost
I like the spec 2 leg and skirt design, but I prefer the original infinite justice. It’s one of my favorite suits. It seems off not having those green lines and the massive blue camera on the head. I’m happy you can swap backpacks.
The only Justice-type Gundam whose beam saber and tactical range projectile & beam weaponry- requires its Athrun Zala- level/type pilot to have SEED Factor: and Hentai Newtype Factor to fully unleash its weapons… *Pop a lot of 911 Vitamin Vs if you wish- just prepare to go cardiac arrest afterwards, should you OD Vitamin V🤪
Though the X-wing backpack is very similar to the X-Wing of star wars, lore wise it is an improvement of the Ootori Striker pack used by the Strike Rouge in the SEED Destiny HD Remaster.
I think the backs look different, and arguably worse on the new one, because the backpack is meant to come off on the normal Justice but not on the type II.
As cool as the Volantes unit is, I'm a much bigger fan of the Fatum-01/02 design, primarily because of color but also in terms of shape (wings/thrusters), optimization/lethality (beam saber nose cone, anyone?), and a much sleeker look when it's folded up on the IJ's back. It's also cool/funny how both the Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice got head-mounted weapons as upgrades, as if their loadouts weren't sufficient enough already. Kind of bummed about the lack of the green stripe on the chest too, it looks weird with no stripe and that random pink patch in the middle. All that said, this HG is definitely a pickup. Athrun's beam sabers > everything
No, MechaGaikotsu is just stoopid. He didn't even mention the side skirts being able to move away for the splits. Better watch MJ2005's review on this kit 🗿
This is not related to the video but there is a new SNAA kit,and it's called Gawain. Hopefully you are able to review the new SNAA model kit if it comes out.
My 2022 Infinite Justice side skirt doesn't loose thou, however the fatum backpack's yellow blade c clip got stressed immediately clipped into the backpack, immediately.
