The Hanzo Genji Cup (HGC) is a tournament hosted on the NA server, featuring a prizepool of $1000! Teams can qualify by participating in 2 Qualifiers, in which the best 2 teams advance to the final phase of the tournament. In addition to the 2 Qualifiers there is also a "Last Chance" Qualifier, in which the best teams out of the 2 Qualifiers (that weren't able to qualifiy directly) can participate.

Love the variety of tournaments you run, but because you asked: 1) Banshee cup style where you can only pick a hero once gave the perfect variety.

Like you said, all drafting rules have positive and negative effects. I support whatever is best for that individual tournament. With that said, I do prefer "play an individual hero once per series," because it forces a greater hero pool, rather than the usual "meta" heroes.

I also prefer one time per series, cuz even then the heroes become quite repetitive but its way more interesting to watch. As I’m quite new Hots player it also gives me more sense how other heroes than the popular ones are played and so on

"One time per series" should be the rule for every tournament imho.

Agreed. Otherwise given that patches have been rare and minor for several years we end up with the same heroes (since the meta never changes anymore) in every match over and over. The only thing that changes a years-old meta is some artificial compulsion to play a larger hero pool.

I don't agree with it. It's cool to have meta madness sometimes, but if you look for competitive play meta madness isn't for that. Because many players plays their favorite heroes more and they better at them. Imagine someone make a god play with hero and then they want to ban it, but they can't ban everything, but in metamadness they lose a game, move to next one and forget about that hero. So metamadness rules reduces influence of heroes performance on match. It makes unic tactics harder to practice from team perspective even. It's not cool to practice one play if you win only one map with it.

I like watching a variety of games. Having normal rules is fine as you get to see better plays and synergy

Also would like to see the bounties again. With the change that going for a bounty gives 1 point, and winning with it gives +2 more.

It’s good to have normal rules once in a while, but I prefer the Banshee rules more (hero played once) and of course meta madness.

Mir ist gerade ne ziemlich verrückte Idee gekommen .... So als Fun Match Idee. Jeder stellt das Team für den Gegner zusammen. Also versucht jeder ein möglichst schlecht zu draften. Evt. Muss man Regeln einführen, dass es spielbar bleibt...

I love the custom rules tbh it keeps matches interesting but the bounties are practically asking to lose. Also i imagine the rules are less fun for players, and they represent 90% of the content. So probably wanna be careful
