This city doesnt need any more "historic sites" or television makeovers! Brownsville needs higher paying jobs, a better school system, etc. And with that coming first, then some nice attractions other than old buildings being preserved and untouchable. Wouldn't 300 jobs/ careers created sound nice.... that pay between 20-30 an hour? More of a selection of restaurants IN the city, a theater, bowling alley, maybe even a golf course.
We don't need a makeover of historical sites. We need a hospital or some form of entertainment for the youth such as malls, skating rinks, movies, etc. Former majorities of the town burnt down a movie theater and skating because minories began to come. This town is racist against the minorities of the town and never acknowledges our voice. We will have no say so of what is improved or brought to our town. Making over this little racist town will be a waste of time and funds
By looking at this HGTV pitch... more like a great advertisement for, The City Brownsville, Also looking at the other HGTV. videos, for small towns to be submitted. We need to go help these other cities! We are a lot better off.. The City Of Brownsville & Haywood Co, receive lot more grants, other than these small towns. That is a good question , Ask both Mayors, Why we receive more grant funds.
