When my friend was playing this part, I remember joking saying to him: “plot twist: he’s a fucking werewolf.” ….. I’ve never had to scream “IT WAS JUST A JOKE!” so hard in my life.
When Roquefort whispers "Let's take this someplace else, so we dont disturb the neighbors" that's the moment I know for sure someone is gonna make questionable art of him no freaking doubt.
Roquefort is furry bait. I know this because my friend squealed when I played this game in a Discord call and Roquefort said those lines. She now says he's her favorite boss (I wonder why)
@@SeaFR I mean, to be fair...this is a cyborg(?) werewolf with a very deep voice with some rather suggestive actions and radiates older man (what some would call "daddy" energy)...Many people are gonna feel some type of way 🥴
Of course the old man with a Scrooge McDuck vault whose office is adorned with certainly expensive commissioned art is the one with the mechanical fursuit of death with a realistic tongue and lip synch.
@@cakemancer1608 tbf who the fuck chooses to howl at the top of their lung to initiate their werewolf transformation lol. he's a little too into the character don't you think? lol
@@kasid4759 Why not? I don't recall seeing anyone irl transform, so we don't know. Personally, I wouldn't do that as well, but I'm sure as hell there are people who would
There’s no denying that werewolf mecha combination is badass, but I feel like they missed an opportunity to go hard on Fafnir myth from Scandinavian mythology and make him a dragon. It fits too well. Edit: Well I suppose I didn’t think this through. They went the Wolf of Wall Street Route. Which, considering the corpo thematic of Vandelay, fits 100 times better.
What did Fafnir have to do with dragons? It’s been a while so maybe I’ve forgotten something, but other than his brother being a serpent I don’t remember anything that connects the two
@@erazure. you’re referring to the wolf Fenrir. Son of Loki, the one who tore off Tyr’s arm and is fated to kill Odin when Ragnarok comes. Fafnir was a dwarf, who because of Loki’s shenanigans came to possess cursed gold. Because of the gold, and since dwarves were already a bit greedy to begin with, Fafnir turned into a dragon, the very symbol of greed. I like the fact that half of Scandinavian myths happened because Loki was bored.
Wow roquefort's wolf thing looks really cool really hope no one makes questionable art of him edit: omg 988 likes thx i guess another hecking edit: yes i know, its the internet, of course they will do it
Yeah. They seem to have one soundtrack for streaming mode (so the game can be streamed without hitting copywrite/licencing issues) and one for standard gameplay. It's a pretty clever way of getting some access to licenced tracks without paying further royalties for it's distribution for broadcasting through streamer services. Which is why pop songs are usually named such, they are selected tracks that are provided to radio stations that they get paid for every time it's used on a program. That's why Maria Ciery gets a massive pay out every Christmas, given that "All I want for Christmas is you" is played practically constantly. XD
The frustrating thing is, everybody knows that nobody is coming to watch a videogame boss fight to listen to a song, so they aren't losing any sales by allowing videos of licensed songs in videogames on RU-vid. And everybody *with a brain* knows that it would be good advertising for artists. But some people are just greedy and stupid, and their greed outpaces their intelligence.
The internet ruined stuff like that lol anyone that has a animal transformation is automatically a furry or it’s their fursona or some deviant art saying lol 😂
@@darkk_darkk Considering the whole 'disturbing the neighbors' line, I think the devs knew EXACTLY what the players would think of Roquefort's transformation.
It just dawned on me after 2 months that his breath attack is a reference to the 3 little piggies nursery rhyme where the wolf blows their houses down. God, this game is so good!
Fun fact about this guys model: the werewolf isn't a separate model. The asset is all one piece, and I... Honestly need to know how it works out of engine.
Can we all agree that the fact that even the fucking transformation from man to werewolf is on beat! This games rhythm is amazing everything is on a beat!
i like the possible thought of Roquefort not only asking for a mecha body in order to stay alive, but specifically a giant furry werewolf mecha body bc there's no way Kale was the one to come up with that idea
"This is a waste of time, which is money, and I'm not gonna waste any more of that!" -Roquefort before smashing his expensive desk, a window, and a MASSIVE vault door that could NOT have been cheap even though he could have easily broken none of those.
You are not the first to notice it. I also noticed that too when I first saw this boss battle. The feeling was SO not appropriate for the situation…. 3X
It's called technology my dude. That's why it manage to fit all inside of him. I'm also questioning how is this possible, but it's actually just technology.
the only thing i hated from this boss fight was the rythm section at the very end because i play knm so i got very confused on the left or right clicks and had to change to controller for that end section
Feel like this guy might have been a fan of Transformers: Beast Wars growing up because that is one Transformers looking transformation he does there. Mix of that and an Iron Man suitup sequence.
If I had a coin for everytime a wolf-like boss has taught me how to parry in a game, I'd have two coins Which isn't a lot, but it's curious how it happened twice
