Oh, I'm so thrilled you're doing Haitus Kaiyote. Yes, I'd say neo soul is a good category to place them in. As an aside, they have received 2 Grammy nominations and have also been sampled by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rapsody, Anderson, Paak, and Marlon Craft. Prince was also a huge fan and wanted to have a jam session with them but their touring schedule didn't permit it before his passing. Although I love everything they do thus far, this probably shouldn't have been your introduction? Based on your taste, my suggestion is to go next with their song "Jekyll". A beautiful piece that the lead singer wrote at only age 16. "Nakamarra" done live is another I believe you'll truly appreciate. Once you get a better taste of their full playlist you'll be going down a rabbit hole similar to when you first discovered Angelina Jordan. It'll be fun to watch!

Choose your weapon is a classic. Slept on album! Gospel, hip hop, soul, drum and bass, funk, rnb, electronica all rolled in to one masterpiece. Wonderful album
