Underrated why? she’s a creative musician no doubt, but to say she’s a “genius guitar player” means she’s doing something others can’t or don’t. Not the case

It’s kind of a stretch, but if you listen closely to some Mingus tunes you’d hear him say “yeah Eric”(Dolphy), or “yeah Jaki”(Byard), or “yeah Dannie”(Richmond) when they were soloing spectacularly… just as she said when Simon was. Might be a stretch…🤷🏽♂️*

This is a praise and worship song for me. Just the Spirit of Gratitude in this song . Just the emphasis on being in Alignment. Not that everything is ALRIGHT. But that Everything is Beautiful. Let me walk through the world like this. "I am free from harm's way" . And when she says "I know! I know!" oooh child my hands just go up. What a better instrument I could be if I could keep this outlook all the time.
Have been hiding from the -20C blizzard all week, had to go out to clear snow for the garbage truck tomorrow morning. On my way out I stumbled in my hdmi cable, so now there are flickering green lights on my only screen. For every shovel of snow I pushed, three shovels worth blew back in my face. My sweat started freezing solid so I gave up, but I had at least shoveled my way up to my mailbox, so I grabbed my mail and and a catch of firewood and headed back inside. Thanks Hiatus Kaiyote! Got a nice letter telling me there's a new single out; this isn't a shit day anymore! Old school is best school! Sending out letters is massively underrated EDIT: and now that I've heard the song, everything IS beautiful!

Same gorgeous psychedelic tribal flavors as you've always had in your music, but framed in a new, fresh context. Love to hear it. That bass line is heading places that mortal man cannot comprehend. And that flute and harpsichord (?) kicking in halfway through surprised me.

Nai is the real deal, Perrin is the real deal, bender is the real deall, and Simon is the real deal. It’s also crazy listening to their process for albums. They almost scrapped red room and sparkle tape break up from their most recent album - the two most well received singles from the album. ❤️
