I got to say cooking for living is hard. You got the smoking grrrr, sweaty hot, standing on your feed all day. Then now you have to got the talent and showing off your enthusiasm too. So please appreciate the chef.
luckey008 it's not that had if you really are devoted to it and enjoy doing it you aren't just a natural hibachi chef it takes years of practice and you have to be devoted to it and actually enjoy cooking so I imagine most like what they do
Right lucky it's like they were talking the whole time n not even appreciating his talented cooking show I kept thinking how rude n would it have hurt to have the egg thrown in their mouths these people really annoyed me I gotta say.
This is what the guy who used a regular table had in his mind, a happy family before him. Then, a voice said from behind him: "Honey, you have to let the past go, the kaiju attack was 10 years ago."
@@45.chuminh81 Ya, pacific rim monsters are called kaijus, but kaiju is also just japanese for monsters, so either way works. I do appreciate those who know pacific rim tho.
I've been a line cook for 15 years and these chefs are phenomenal. People that eat at these places need to realize how talented these chefs are. Chefs like this command a huge salary
This guy looks like a hard worker who will smile and interact well with his customers even if he's otherwise having a shitty day. I salute him and hope all goes well for him, hopefully I'll try some of his cooking if I visit NY one of these days.
+Not Myname "What if one day video's actually will be able to have scents?" The video's WHAT will have scents? There's a word missing. (Or did you mean "...videos...")
+Hunter Hurst In case you haven't found one yet, there's a teppanyaki in Columbus, not far from you. It's Benihana, an international chain started in New York by "Rocky" Aoki. It's at 8781 Lyra Drive. See: www.benihana.com/about/history/ for more about them.
+Hunter Hurst There is a lot of them in Ohio kinda of a late comment. One in Lancaster, Ohio Kanji, and in Columbus kinda near Westerville there is Fujiyama. Both are Japanese steakhouses.
This guy is the best. DAMN! Not a loudmouth, doesnt brag or speak too much, knows what he's doing and simply does his job. Add to that a sense of humor, and music. INSANE. AWESOME. OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Yes, I am here from the hibachi chef on regular table video and I am particularly looking for THAT chef working on a hibachi table. I want to see that man happy 😭😭
In the U.S., the phrase “hibachi-style” is occasionally used to refer to what is really teppanyaki cooking. Hibachi grills are called shichirin in Japanese and are small, portable barbecue grills that are made from cast iron. These grills have an open-grate design and commonly use charcoal as their heating source. Modern hibachis in U.S. restaurants are electric so that they can be used to cook food indoors. By contrast, teppanyaki grilling involves using an iron griddle with a flat, solid surface to prepare food in restaurants in front of guests.
yep, but white people dont know the difference. he's a japanese chef in a japanese restaurant eating japenese food is what they will believe even if it's chinese lol.
Did this guy really say "I love you mommy, love you long time"? I LOVE YOU LONG TIME? ahahaha, I just rewatched Full metal jacket and I know this guy probably meant it well but this is hilarious.
True, and you are correct. However, the high heat of the grill is sufficient to heat the instruments enough to kill most bacteria; keep in mind this grill is not your average frying pan. If you notice the beginning of the video, the oil quickly smokes, indicating that the temperature of the grill is roughly around 300 degrees C. Flash point of oil is about 327 degrees C.
this is really impressive, they have a few spots near me that do this but i havent gone to one yet. I like it because its more than just cooking its entertainment and hosting all in one. I wish there were more styles of cooking that were as active and entertaining as this and were this much fun to watch.
I wish there were more Hibiachi restaurants like this one in Munich !!! Really needed I think. So great and entertaining ! Really a must for businessman, families or great time with friends!!! Love it so much !
Fascinating to watch live, I went to a Teppanyaki restaurant in my city and had this treatment, it was not cheap, but for a special experience I would highly recommend it to anyone :)
I am Japanese living in Japan. This chef is not Japanese. The majority of Japanese chef will carefully handle the food. Japanese don't like flashy too performance, such as compromising the taste. You have visited Japan and then expect to eat authentic Japanese cuisine. I'm sure I think you remember impressed by the delicacy of Japanese cuisine.
+DJ Rapi (DJRapi) It's in America. There's plenty of "Japanese" restaurants that do this kind of ... showmanship. Americanized Japanese Grill. Which basically means, American food with Soy sauce.
***** Well, teppenyaki was always influenced by western food and actually only gained popularity as foreigners in Japan discovered this flamboyant way of cooking. It has always been more about show than the food. Foreigners probably thought this was something genuinely Japanese, even though it was basically a Japanese way to make western food... which ironically as said mainly was popular among foreigners. So yes, it's a Japanese invention but with an ironic twist. Especially, since I guess many people go to these restaurants to experience (what they think is) Japanese culture. When in fact they are actually looking at a Japanese mirror reflecting their own culture...
You're right and wrong. The actual hibachi as we know it today is an alteration of a traditional Japanese device. The juggling of knives, and all the neat tricks with the eggs and the onions etc. were introduced by fairly modern American restaurants in order to "put on a show".
I'm Japanese Tell. This is a Japanese cuisine. However, it is not the Japanese. Japanese traditional ones. Japanese cuisine, including well as such as "curry rice" and "Katsudon". So, this is but a Japanese cuisine, it is not the Japanese.
To all the people saying "ohh hes not really Japanese" Fuck off, im sure the food was good. And.... its food.... fucking food... were all human and can enjoy it, enough with the labels already.
