Very thorough review. You covered a lot of what other reviewers do not cover such as taking it through some actual ref terrain and so forth. Impressive job! I actually ordered this bike yesterday. Your review helped me to see that it was a worthwhile purchase.

Bought this bike, the shipped it with Fork installed backwards resulting in the fork bending causing a crash and injuries ON DAY 1! It is a VERY low quality fork to start with. check to make sure yours is mounted the proper way or consider getting ANY other fork on it even an SRT is an upgrade. E-mail support is okay, they did at least cover the repair cost at a local shop.

you have to satisfy the viewers with unbiased review as well as satisfy the company who is getting reviewed tough job but you got it spot on !

All companies need to send you their bikes for reviewing..you kept it real and didn't sugarcoat things like some of these other reviews I've seen..but still a good looking bike tho..

I enjoyed and trusted your review more than 9/10 of those I see. Tell me about the spec of the bike. Seat tube length, reach, head tube angle , bottom bracket to ground height etc etc etc. I would not trust those unbranded forks anyway.

Nice honest review, do you have any recommendations for suspension forks to upgrade this bike? and maybe even fenders

I recently purchased this bike and the seat it comes with has to be the most uncomfortable bike seat that I have ever sat on. It made my butt so sore that I had trouble sitting on any hard surface for 24 hours after riding the bike. I am getting it changed first thing tomorrow morning. The installation instructions in their RU-vid video do not follow the same order as the print manual that comes with the bike, as someone who had never assembled a bike before that gave me a lot of problems and I had to disassemble and reassemble a few things more than once. The headlight while being very bright and nicely controlled with the switch keeps getting loose for me after every ride and I have to tighten the bolt after every ride. It's a pain. Same goes with the bike stand (though glad that at least it comes with a bike stand). The bike handle is way too wide I think and I wouldn't recommend it to a short person say someone less than 5'8" or someone with small arms. The paddle assist is very good so far and so is the throttle. I find the throttle extremely useful particularly after stopping at a light or a stop sign before a hill. Mind you there is certainly a second or two delay before the paddle assistance comes to play. The battery indicator keeps changing the number of bars depending on whether I am using the throttle or not, this I find very confusing, I would much rather the indicator showed the actual battery left. The brakes are good, I honestly wasn't expecting the brakes to be this good considering they aren't hydraulic. I haven't range tested the bike because again the battery indicator is weird. But I rode it for 20 miles on a stretch where I was mostly on paddle assist 5 and got home with one bar left for the battery.

I get they all have their purpose but their price range is so far out there I really dnr see the every day Joe buying em .but yea I'm with ya bro listen for a price I am that one dude I expect to get what I paid for and should work at least past its warranty.hence the phantom 85.but I definitely wouldn't mind grabbing a e bike

I like your reviews however you should include a flat road max speed with hard peddling in the different PAS modes. This is something the old men don't do in the other reviews.

Surprised to learn you're 6'4 and always riding the 26in frames/bikes....I'm 6"3.75 and often feel too scrunched up on a 26in. Being 230 doesn't help much either. High speeds feels more stable,safe, secure on a 29in than 26in for me also........I know the 250w -750w geared hub motors have more torque due to the gears in the hub VS the direct drive/non geared motors. Both motors have their pros & cons.

Try to make the throttle tighter against the grip. Should make it easier on the wrist.

is this a 9 speed cassette or freewheel?
