Sasuke has an inquisitive nature, as shown in shippuden after his heel-face-turn back to good. half the reason he takes the journey of atonement is because he needs to question his purpose and what being a shinobi means to him now. Hidari being confused is a direct reflection of Sasuke's personality, but I hadn't considered the omnipotence also being a factor in his behavior.
