A very well written and talked step by step guide , a few things to consider for the retri spec , you should buy the books from the AH it is a lot easier , and after the book is complete take it to the prince , after that kill the dragon and give him the head ( that sound weird :D ) , because when I went to him with that guys head and the book he took them both but the quest only registered that I gave him only the book so I had to wait another week to complete the quest .
My stroy TL;DR with this skin. Buy Net Pagle books on AH Kill Nefa Do a class trial char and find a rare mob, group invite your pally Disable autoloot when fishing and done. I do this and i got the skin from zero in 1 hour only.
A little update of september 3rd 2019 for anyone wondering if it still works-It does. Just be ready to loot A LOT of enemy players in AV. You can get the book on any class,I got mine by playing AV on my main Mage And be prepared for lots of fishing casts. Good luck
Yes, there is an interesting thing where if you unlock the tints of the other one, those tints will be unlocked for the other appearances as well, but not the base form. Not sure if this is intended or not.
No joke, finished the ret hidden skin within an hour. The slime spawn within 10 minutes of my arrival and then I was able to fish up the diamond within 15! Lucky

Do you need all of the other artifact weapon variants to unlock the last one? Because I finished the process of getting the heart corruption but it didn’t show up in my collections
let me add your content about prot appearence. If you kill the giant spider and loot the final chest in the suramar minigame, the prot appearence has 100% drop chance. Another thing is, the holy appearemce can drop from ANY eredar. ot can be in argus, for example. Great stuff, thax for the video :D

If I looted the slime and I didn’t have the fishing skill when I ported back and killed it again it didn’t drop the item so that mean’s I have to do it again from the beginning ?
You can loot the head again, you just can't do the quest it gives you multiple times. You just need to wait for the raid reset to get it again. Hope that helps!
Sooo, ive watched the guide multiple times now, and i must say its really good!! i only have problems with getting in to Alterac Valley BG.... ive been in que for nearly 3 hours now :( .... btw any direct news on if they did lower the droprate for the crystal in the lake? if yes how many casts is normal to get it on now :)?
I'm glad you like my guide! As for AV, the queue can be ridiculously long at times. I had the same issue and unfortunately don't have much of a suggestion for you. :/ As for the shard, no direct news, but I've seen several people comment that they got it in relatively few casts, so I think they definitely increased the drop chance. Unfortunately, I don't have enough data to give you an average cast number. :( Sorry I can't be more helpful!
Hey man its all good, your guide is extremely helpfull nonetheless :) do you know anything about the drop chance of the book though in AV? i have finally managed to get into 1 AV today, but unfortunantly didnt get it :(
Also not a ton of data on that one. I had to do 3 or 4 I think before I got it just from completing AV. You can also loot it off enemy player corpses, but that's kinda unreliable.

You shouldn’t have to. Killing it completes a hidden quest and starts the next one to fish up the crystal so you should be able to go back and forth as you please.
Do I have to be in Proc Specc in order to get the hidden appearance of Proc in Withered Army Training, or is it okay with being Ret Specc and than do it?
Literally spending 1h in queue to get into AV, then lose and not get any drop :\ Quick question,does the book drop only to Pals? Or you can get it dropped with any class and then send it to your pal?
You only have to be in Ret spec to talk to Sister Elda. You won't see the right conversation options otherwise. But you can be in any spec for the books or any of the rest of the chain.

Yes, you can still get all of the hidden appearances! Once you earn them, log out and back in and they'll appear as a special "Legion Artifacts" dropdown in your weapon transmogs tab.
If you complete the head quest, the item will no longer be in your bag and it needs to be for this hidden appearance. But you can always get it again by killing Nefarian again after the weekly reset.

hi mate . I got the truthgard and wanted the protection mace appearance like draenei mace and shield purple one. I got the spark today byt turned the truthgard from normal to pink(sword and shield ) not the mace and shield .What am I doing wrong ?
Legion artifacts are a bit strange when it comes to transmog. If you use the Legion Artifacts dropdown, it will transmog everything to be like it was in Legion, with matching pieces. If you want to separate the appearances, you can just look through the normal mace/sword/shield lists in the transmog window and transmog things separately. Hope that helps!

Had to go back to dalaran do the first few quests to introduce me to the paladin hall , than put the teythguard to the table and there I could see the appearance . Than from the table choosing the appearance and than wait like 5 -10 min to unlock on my transmog . Hope that helps new people like me that started on shadowlands or after
Do you need to have the artifact in your backpack? I haven't unlocked the Holy artifact weapons but im trying to get the hidden appearance and it isnt dropping at all....
You know, I'm actually not sure. My guess would be that you have to have unlocked the artifact in order to get the appearance to drop. But even if you got it without unlocking the weapon, you wouldn't be able to use it without the weapon. My advice would be to get the weapon and then try again.
Sister Elda wont talk to me or continue the quest. I am in ret spec, i have the 2 nat pagle books, i have nefarians head in my bags. What else do i need?
Sorry for the late reply. Not getting comment notifications for some reason. To answer your question, no the Prot skin is not a guaranteed drop, though there is supposed to be some bad luck protection on it, so keep doing the Withered scenario every 3 days and you'll see it eventually.
There are 2 possibilities here. 1) The head doesn’t drop if you already have it somewhere in your bag or bank so check carefully. 2) If you’re certain you don’t have it, then this is definitely a bug and you should submit a report.
@@Gandalin Thanks for the response. I just spoke directly with a GM. They confirmed it was a change introduced in patch 8.1.5. The head no longer drops. As a result, it is now impossible to acquire this appearance. The only way around it was for the GM to mail me the head directly to my paladin.
So, I just did a little experiment with the Head and it seems like it no longer drops if you have completed the quest. So your only choice would be to contact a GM to get a new one for the appearance. Unfortunate change.
hey man... this all hidden atrifacts still work? in bfa 8.3?all class? i mean they need artifact knowledge lvl 5..we cant lvl up the weapon anymore.. can i get all hidden artifact in 8.3?or some of them maybe work? if u help me I will be grateful.. Ty for video :X

It does have a pretty random spawn timer. Some people have reported waiting several hours. You could try turning Warmode on. It’s a different shard so it may be up there. But make sure you’ve completed all the previous steps before you kill him otherwise he won’t drop what you need.
You can always go to the artifact forge in your class hall to see where to get other appearances. To get that one, you need to complete the Balance of Power questline on at least one character on your account (I have a video for that too!). Then you'll need to complete the Unleashed Monstrosities achievement on at least one character on your account. You have to defeat at least 8 of the Legion world bosses. Hope that helps!
Yeah you don’t have to worry about Artifact Knowledge anymore! And any level 110 requirements are now level 45. Other than that, everything is the same.
Everything should still work the same. You need the 2 Nat Pagle books and the Head of Nefarian in your bags. You also need to be in Retribution spec. If you've got all that, maybe the new talent system is messing with it. In that case, you'll just have to submit a bug to Blizz and hope they fix it.
For some reason Nearian's head isn't dropping for me. I'm in BWL, and it doesn't drop. I did the quest awhile ago when I was farming the Judgement set. But the head should still drop from what I've read.
@@Gandalin Exactly, and I do not believe so. Because it wasn't in the loot box at all nor has it shown up in my mail. I'm currently making a ticket so hopefully it get taken care of.

Yes. The Holy and Ret appearances have an Artifact Knowledge level requirement and the Prot appearance requires something in Suramar. Those things both require level 110.

You need to talk to the mage first. Then you can fish up the Shard. The mage does not need to be there when you fish it up, you just have to talk to him once. I hope that helps!
You can be in any spec to have the Holy appearance book drop from demons. I'd suggest farming eredar on Argus. They seem to have a better drop chance than the ones on the Broken Isles.
Yes, even after Legion you will still be able to get the Ashbringer artifact weapon. It won't be useful outside Legion content, but you can still get it.
I'll add it to the list for this week. I should mention that one of the shaman appearances drops from Levantus, the world boss that is up this week in Azsuna. It's only up until weekly reset, so you might want to go grab that one! It requires knowledge level 4 to drop.
Yes, you can. However, if you’ve already completed the quest given by Nefarian’s head then it won’t drop for you anymore. You’ll have to open a ticket and ask a GM to give you a new version of the head so you can continue with the Ret quest line.
