Thank you for this excellent story, but especially, thank you for taking obfuscation of the victim’s identity seriously. This person deserves their privacy and your excellent technique did not detract from the story in the least. Too many times these days, I see reports with victims, witnesses, or undercover agents disguised so thinly for the camera, it’s almost like the media is putting a price on their head. Side lighted silhouettes that show hair and facial features, hands with jewelry and / or tattoos, and voice masking so thin that I KNOW I could identify this person if I ever met them - let alone the person’s family, friends, coworkers, employers, and even the criminal perpetrators. Good job.
I dont condone this being used in a bathroom but I do like the idea of using it at car dealerships to protect buyers from crooked dealers and their staff.
Well to be fair, we don't know where the fob was placed, nor do we know what the fob looks like. So much information is missing, but at the same time; someone took the time to disguise a camera to look like a key fob. That action, in and of itself tells me that the person doing this has been at it for some time.

This is probably more prevalent than we know. Everyone becomes a suspect and I would be really concerned about construction and maintenance people. We absolutely need handyman and repair men but who can we trust in our homes. Cameras are so easy to hide it seems.
Was it really in the toilet? Of was it placed somewhere else to catch an auto dealer engaging in illegal activities? Given how auto dealers behave, it wouldn't shock me if they're lying and pretending it's somethint that it wasn't.
Many stealerships put hidden microphones in the salespersons kiosk. When the salesperson go to talk to the manager, they listen to the customer discussions about what the are willing to pay for the car, etc. Keep this in mind.
Yes. This is terrible. Fun fact. They watch you/ all of us through your phone. Lap top. iPad. Smart TV and surveillance cameras. As if we didn’t feel uneasy enough over this.

What a silly story. Why should the dealership have noticed a hidden camera when nobody else did? The victim stated she'd used the bathroom multiple times and not noticed anything. So what makes the dealership a bunch of experts on hidden toilet-cams?? Take some responsibility for yourselves, people. Sheesh. It's not everyone else's fault when you get wronged. Grow a pair and grow up! And start paying attention inside public restrooms, because chances are, you're being spied on!
This "news" station shouldn't be taking advantage of this caller to sensationalize this. This person clearly has no idea whether they were recorded or not and could just be seeking attention.
Maybe somebody was looking for someone doing coke or selling drugs. 2. Where exactly was this key fob? How do you set up a key fob in a restroom where it won't be spotted? It would be nice to know, so others can be alerted.
Have you considered that since it was a one stall restroom set up, that there was a key, with fob, handed out to use the restroom? That anywhere the fob was is at risk?

If people stop using so much soap, or toilet paper, or running the water too long there wouldnt be a need for security to watch for toiletries, and water misuse
