These are clips I found from the behind the scenes of the amazing digital circus that also show some of the deleted scenes they didnt leave in the episode
The "cursed development images" are what's actually in the void.... And why Caine never could've thought to put something behind the exit door.... He just put the void there (with a bunch of office rooms) so characters, like pomni, couldn't see their early development....
I think the other intro is good, as you can hear the vocals before pomni runs into jax, like "dont touch that door, theres so much more!" ITS SO CLEAR IN THAT VERSION
1:46 this is mostly due to rendering and textures, they didn’t render the textures during the animation to not only make it so the computers don’t DIE, but also because it makes it easier, any 3D animation company or team would do this during the animation process as they are only animating but not rendering. I’m confident the textures are already in there, and no, no textures are added in post I suposse.
I didn't see the tea kettle the first round, good eye! Ah, that pipe screen saver. Back when if you didn't have the screen doing something, you would BURN the image into the screen. It could have been avoided if you turned off the old ct monitors, but... the amount of monitors I had to shuffle around in our school because they NEVER turned them off was ...a nightmare.
Sometimes with shows I wish they made at least 3 episodes before releasing but like - I get it. I'm just impressed with how good it was. It's not as childish as I thought, it's just fun
The reason they only make one episode is because they aren't sure how the show is going to do. That's why it says pilot and not episode 1. They don't want to take the time and effort of making multiple episodes just for the first one they post to be a complete flop. Do you understand how long it takes to make high quality 3D animations like this?
7:48 I love this version. I do think the one they chose was the right choice but this is great too. And side note for some reason when he says to the moon and to the sun it reminded me of Bill Cypher idk why.
I have a theory that the scene where pomni was Teleported to the stage was supposed to take place after the feast at the end of the amazing digital circus pilot, because she was eating a burger before she got teleported over there. If you zoom in, then you can see that her hands look like she's holding a burger. So that means she could have been eating the burger after getting used to the circus..... until all that drops, When caine started throwing knives at her at her. 10:50
I find it funny that sometimes people pick this show apart & not know. For context I'm talking about the sharp teeth, Pomni has her's when she open the door after the computer & Jax has his' when being choked.
6:00 pomni's teeth do go really sharp when she has her mental breakdown in the exit sim, she turns into shark -teeth before she opens the desk fixation's door and runs to the void door
as a theory, I think that somehow, pomni can use the computer as seen in the end to escape. Maybe this gives the characters a reference of a way to escape the Digital Circus, or perhaps Caine could ask the characters for ideas to put something in the void. They could have some ideas, most likely Ragatha and Gangle, maybe even Jax! (not Kinger, possibly Zooble) But idk about Pomni…
5:00 they would test this to see how far they can push the model before breaking, to see what needs fixing, but also what interesting visuals can be pulled off.
I find it very funny that "The Amazing Digital Circus" is made by a dude who messes with mario like figures in GMOD of all things. P.S.This is really good coming from SMG4. P.P.S. Also SMG4 isnt bad, it just his TOP preformance vid. P.P.P.S. Also I know this vid is made by glitch productions. (SMG4 FOUNDED glitch productions) @SMG4 u da bes!
7:00 that's actually really common in animation. You don't animate things you don't need, which is anything that is off screen. Since her legs were out of the shot, they weren't necessary to animate, which saves time and effort.
Also, if you look closely at Pomni's older design, you can see that the color of her gloves swapped in her final version. Kevin Temmer said this was done to give her a better silhouette!
8:41 Don't worry, I think they still would have made the song loop, making it say "round and round, and-round and round, and-round and round, and-round and round, and we don't know why!"
7:09 this is very frequently done in animation so the animators can plot out how they want their characters to look at then just animate the legs as support. Beginning with the legs can actually be a lot more work since it gives you less of an idea of how the character is going to look. starting with the face and hands (the most expressive part of a character model) lets you fine tune how you want your character to look instead of starting with the legs where you would have build the hands and face last, meaning if you dont like it. you have to restart the entire pose,
All the animations were made separately to be able to reuse them by making blendspace. Which means that their animation is suitable for video games and 3D animation.
In the unused song when Caine told Pomni not to touch the exit door, the reason would probably be because later in the ep Caine stated that he doesn’t want them seeing his unfinished work. So it is not some hint or anything
9:23 Caine said that he didn't like letting people see his unfinished work, and since he's quite possibly never seen the real world, he really may have been trying to make a simulation of the real world for the humans in the circus. But, as it should be obvious after Gooseworx quite literally said he's not an antagonist; *Caine isn't a bad guy*, and even *if* he knows how to free the humans, he probably doesn't want to be alone (since he probably can't leave), maybe he's trying to find a way to go with them, or just procrastinating over freeing the humans. Caine isn't at fault, he may well be just as trapped as all the other characters. poor little guy. :(
10:34 it's a screensaver, they were used in old computers like windows xp i think, it would pop up when you did nothing for too long but now they are no longer used and are just a black screen
10:35 My dearest dude, that is a reference to the old "Pipes" Windows screensaver from Windows 98 and 7, I believe. That screensaver was a favourite amongst users and stems from the same era of CGI the show draws its inspiration from. Plus, I bet Gooseworx wanted to add it for the nostalgia factor of us millenials and gen z-ers.
Yes they sometimes do animation wrong so they would do again and again to make is perfect Guys don't make fun of me don't say "give yo mamas phone back bro" This is a mock
It's funny that you said "Managed to find" But the people that made "TADC" started posting these behind the scenes videos after the episode was released.
th "lalala,DO NOT TOUCH THIS DOOR" GOT ME DYING sorry also the vaccum cleaner jax got me dying with laughter and "A YELLOW BALL" ALSO GOT ME DYING WITH sorry again laughter edit:i have a theory for how the abstracted acually abstracted so they left the circus and then the abstract replaces them but caine doesnt want them to know that so thats why he says not to go in the void so kaufmo proves the exit is real by abstracting when he left
GUYS this show LITERALLY looked different before it was done, but that’s just one detail you wouldn’t know without watching the behind the scenes videos 😎
This reminds me of Black Mirror and SOMA. Maybe their human counterparts are alive and happy living their lives and they merely 'donated' a copy of their consciousness. Which makes them amoral monsters if they were aware of what they were doing. You get your neat experiment and a pay bonus while your construct copy gets to exist in a deteriorating dystopia.
