Azur Crown (Green) and Lusat Crown (Blue) increases the power of more spells in addition to their respective primeval ones, totaling 3 spells with increased power for each crown equipped, as follows: AZUR increases the power of "Glintstone Cometshard, Comet and Comet Azur". LUSAT increases the power of "Glintstone Stars, Star Shower and Stars of Ruin". The extra FP cost is applied to all spells, but the power gain only occurs on these six.
They’re honestly ass. The twins age crown gives 6 intelligence without the increased FP cost but at the detriment of health and stamina which is a way better boost and tradeoff.
The Azur and Lusat Glintstone Crowns increase the dmamage of more then one spell each, just only by 10%. Lusat also boosts Star Shower and Glintstone Stars, and Azur boosts Comet and Cometshard
@@up_an_down I believe you two actually agree perfectly but his wording was a little vague so it’s not quite clear whether he means the boost for all three spells is 10% or only 10% for the other two he listed. But I know that I interpreted it as him acknowledging the main spell is 15% and only the extra two are 10%
I was calling him all the names this morning. I was like, this is gonna be easy. Then he yelled “kneel” and all my tarnished memories of death came flooding back
Just wanted to thank you again for holding an old noob's hand through the Lands Between. I'm going into Shadows blind so I can get the full experience this time. Cheers!
I only say this because it legit made me laugh when it came up in the video... but I genuinely started a Ancestral Baby Head themed character last week. So only their armor, ancestral bow, melee and trying to make the baby head work. So you better believe I got the antlers on lol What can I say? I like gimmick builds.
reminds me of the sword stance seen by the mercenary riders and the carian scholars, when they do the stance of bringing the sword over their head like a stand off pose, they are technically blocking.
@@adaroben1104 yes it scales with intelligence. I was getting pretty good damage out of it with 80 intelligence. I would cast that at the beginning of a boss fight or against mobs. The ticking damage is pretty satisfying and is very useful against enemies with low poise as it continually breaks their poise
@@joearnold6881 I agree the bairns were disappointing but I found the infants head to be useful for high intelligence builds. Just cover the arena at the beginning of the boss fight, or use it to direct enemies to a desired spot.
One thing I like to do is equip at least one piece of the Briar set when I'm fighting skeletons so after I "kill" them, I roll over them to finish the kill.
As a silver tear mask enjoyer, I can confirm that the 8 points in arcane it gives is amazing. The slight downside of having 5% less physical attack sucks, but is worth it when I can cast swarm of flies without having to level arcane with an already high level character.
Monster Hunter does this a lot, but i felt like for the most parts outside of bloodborne, a lot of interactions were very deliberate for the most part, so it's nice to see there is still some mystery, outside of some niche examples.
I have just used the Black Knife armour to make the Abyss in the DLC a little easier, but I put on the whole set thinking it made a difference. Good to know I don't need to worry about anything other than the chest piece when i *shudder* get to that part again in my next run.
Unless you have information contrary the the wiki, you're wrong regarding the Envoy's Crown. It only increases bubble skills, not sorceries. IE, gold bubbles only, not blue.
Combine black knife armor and the unseen spell that makes you almost fully invisible (the spell is found in town of sorcery, i believe in a blocked door, one of the braziers open it and the chest will offer you the spell, once useless because you cant silence your footsteps without soft cotton, but now black knife silence your steps, and the spell makes you almost fully invisible to npc enemies, this will make sneaking behind tough bosses to poison them much easier, and gives you more assassin/poisoner or scarlet rot users builds be more prominent in pve)
Hope the DLC has some strange spells. Like imagine Abyssal Black Flame but it causes frostbite or Purple lightning that causes poison. Really hoping they mix it up and have some niche but obscure combos. Also want my Soul Vortex from Ds2 back
Me. I'm the one who wants to use the ancestral infants skull :3 One of my favorite items. It has good scalling and can be very fun in pve to take out large groups or single enemies since each pool of mist stacks damage and hit all at once. I love using it while riding torrent. Makes me feel like the ancestral spirit boss 😊❤ Plus the horns just look beautiful
My first playthrough of Elden Ring I did with no armor, no magic and no assists. After I beat the game, the only armor piece I wore for the DLC was the "Shinning Horned Headband." Because it made me feel sexy! This video is giving me ideas for my new game plus run.
In my first playthrough I did a mage character and actually found several instances where I had an easy time cause I just used the ancestral infants head from above my target
I knew most of these but I completely forgot about the bubble head piece. Thanks for that, I'm definitely gonna start using that sometimes. I love using the long horn.
I never even noticed that about the envoy crown! I think I have the long horn on one of my chars so I should totally respec and give that bad boy a try
I wanted to make a clarification. The Rogier set buffs magic *skills* . That means weapon arts, similar to how the shard of alexander is described. It does *not* boost spells. However, in the video during that time span, you only show your character casting spells, which is potentially misleading.
10:41 I swear that this was patched, I remember very well that the RR set used to heal you all the time. I relied on it all the time, it was like jjk’s RCT 😅😂😂
Dom, please Test to see if the Briar sets ability triggers the Swadling Cloth's Ability when rolling into Enemies, and if the rolling into Enemies with the Briar set triggers the Lord of Blood's Exaltation. Curious on those results as I've tried but am not very good at discerning the results. You have way more XP with that than I do.
Resistance to Bleed and Death Blight are determined by Robustness. Resistance to Sleep and Madness are determined by Focus. Okina's mask does not make you stronger or weaker vs. Death Blight.
A PROC is a Programmed Random Occurrence. If something always triggers when x thing happens, it may be tempting to call it a proc, but it isn't. If it has a *chance* to occur, then it's a proc. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Azurs and Lusat's crowns dont just boost Comet Azur and Stars of Ruin by 15%. Azurs crown also boosts Comet and Comet Glinstone Shard by 10% and Lusats boosts Glinstone Stars and Star Shower by 10%.
I think ER should have made scaling more obvious. Some weapons scale best with str/dex, yet their AoW scales only off of int or faith. Meanwhile, Bolt of Gransax AoW only scaled with Dex. Its quite misleading imo
Hey, I know this isn’t a lore channel but I just noticed something the other day I thought was interesting for anyone who is interested. At Miquella’s Haligtree you can find ANOTHER butterfly and a new lily. In the section right before the drainage tunnel,in that small lake of rot, you can find a glowing pink butterfly that you can’t collect. You can also find this new lily growing in said lake of rot. I believe these two are for Malenia’s new god form. I specifically believe the new lily is for Malenia because it is literally growing out of the rot and also has a pinkish color to it.
QUESTION: Does the Briar Set's passive damage get activated by the backroll caused by Bloodhound's Finesse (the skill on the Bloodhound's Fang)? I do see from the wiki that the Briar Set supposedly does work with Quickstep and Bloodhound's Step, which are not even rolls, so that's a bit surprising. But I couldn't find the answer about Bloodhound's Finesse anywhere.
Just look at the UI hints while you are in your inventory menus. There are multiple display toggle buttons depending on the context. Look for toggle display middle. That changes from item stats display to item description display. Special effects are written at the end of item descriptions.
There’s a couple of helmets that increase base faith I believe, but nothing that increases a certain type of incantation other than crucible knight armor
Nope Dooms you are wrong - the three scarabs do not increase the strength/damage of abilities. Instead they lower the FP cost of abilities. If the three scarabs did increase strength of abilities, everyone would use them.
Be warned, i may make your playrhrough better lmao😂😂 thanks for the vid dom! See you in the shaddowlands of reeds ( i seriously think the land of reeds is in the shadowlands) and i definitely want the weapon video too
They do both. Or rather, some of them reduce FP cost, others increase flask effectiveness, but all increase damage because of negative defense numbers.
Another hidden mechanic of the Briar set, is that it prevents furniture and box’s from being destroyed when you jump on them. Making some areas easier to climb on to jump over walls or access certain areas.
@@thefinalday5858 The Briar pieces prevent boxs from being destroyed when you jump on them. This provides opportunities to jump over certain walls or access areas that can be too high to jump up on to.
@@craigslaunwhite579 I always wear Briar gauntlets, I didn't realize this was exclusive to the set lol. I just love the enemy stun when you roll or even quickstep/bloodhound step, life saver
Cool facts about the Briar armor set (any piece) You can interrupt basic attacks from enemies by rolling into them. If you're surrounded or in a tight spot, just roll into them and don't consent to being hit The briar armor set is also useful when dealing with undead! When skeletons are reviving on the floor, just roll onto them, and the 2 damage you deal is enough to kiss 'em goodbye
Deathbed Dress: You should have mentioned that if you put it on your Mimic Tear summon, then the Mimic's Dress restores *your* HP while *your* Dress restores your Mimic's HP. Very handy, really! Zero protection, though, so I'm not sure the lack of protection that another chestpiece would give you would be balanced by the slow healing in an actual battle.
@@casualgamingauraous2345 Unless you're nearby it won't do anything, the radius is rather small. And if you're close enough for it to function, you're close enough to be hit by most attacks aimed at your summon. Plus if you think about it, 2/sec is only 120HP over an entire minute. No way is this better than just wearing better armor.
