PRO TIP: A good hack for when you'll be away from your shop-change the duration of your processing/shipping times for your shop. EXAMPLE: If you'll be away for 2 weeks, start out with a 4 week processing time, and then shorten that as it gets closer to your return. Leave enough time to catch up on orders and continue to shorten as you go until you're back to your normal schedule. I was totally hiding that . . .

Would also like to know how a listing would look after a shop is linked or what a customer would see. Hey there and thanks for watching! ❤ Thank you for this suggestion and I have written it down for future content/tutorials because this is would be a multi-step tutorial that would probably be 10 minutes or longer. There's a lot to it as far as the approval process for the domain and also you have to link products/create a catalog manually. PRO TAX TIP: As a 6+ year 1% Etsy seller, I learned the hard way that when you report your Etsy income, DO NOT GO BY YOUR BANK ACCOUNT for the total amount of Etsy income your shop received. Professional tax preppers are probably rolling their eyes at me for making this mistake. But I thought this method was cleaner because it excluded any cancelled orders and would only show the money we actually received from Etsy. Nope. Because of this mistake, we were audited by the IRS and they challenged our Etsy income total because it didn't match up with Etsy's reports for our shop. What you have to do is pull the CSV monthly reports for all 12 months for your shop at Etsy and report the income for every single order even if it is later cancelled. You then have to do a separate line item to report the total amount for all cancelled/refunded orders.

Thanks for the tips! I was following along and had a few things to update in my shop. I just started back on etsy a few months ago, after taking a year off the platform. Which really tanked my shop, and it's been a slow ride to get it moving again. I really want it to be a more passive side hustle, but I've only gotten 1 sale from an organic customer since returning in April. Sigh.

Thanks for all the valuable data. It was too much to absorb in one sitting for this old brain, so I saved it to watch again. BTW, I cannot tell that you don’t pronounce TH or that you have difficulty with it. Take heart. Famous British historian Lucy Worsley can’t pronounce Rs. And there’s one in her name, which she says in every program when she introduces herself. She spent beaucoup money and time on a speech therapist, only to find that she has a physical defect and she has embraced the disability. I find it charming. Apparently, so does her audience because she has a very wide following. I wish you the same.
