First of all, I marvel at your ability to wear white while enjoying those lovely, saucy dishes. I would look like a walking Jackson Pollock painting at the end of the day. I love that you featured regional Chinese cuisine and was especially interested to learn that there are so many dishes that can be served cold. Yummo! Sending love and appreciation. 🙌😘
🤣🤣🤣 I thought it was very brave of me Michael. Thomas says- “you should just give it up” every time I pop on white as we’re about to go out for a meal 😂 Thanks so much for watching and for your gorgeous comment. We are just so thrilled to be back filming again. Big love to you, hope you’re having a fab weekend! Cheers, Sheena
So many yummy morsels! That starting roast shop had so many delicious looking meats. It really won me over. Well done to you guys for persevering through uncertain times and doing your videos. It brings us a lot of joy. Thank you!
Thanks so much guys! And thank you for your continued support of the channel 💕 We’re loving getting out there again and to be able to shine a spotlight on some of these special places. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers, Sheena
Oh guys! Thanks for sharing as always! That Chinese roast shop at the start you could tell was exceptional just because of how small it was and the quality of what came out on your plates! And then I swear I hadn’t seen any of those cold dishes you guys had at the second place before which made me really intrigued. I’m sure you’ve shown some of those cold dishes before but it’s been long enough for me that they felt like new experiences! And then to have things like those soup dumplings at the last place and the fried buns just to show an example of the range you two always bring to us in your videos and all the variety was exceptional. Very fun video! Thanks guys!
So happy you enjoyed it Jaci! It’s so neat that you can get such variety just in Chinese cuisine in one town centre. It was all delicious- bet you’d love it all too. Thanks for watching and commenting on this one mate. Cheers, Sheena
FANTASTIC!!!!!❤ Knocked this one out of the park. I love dumplings, I was swooning over here. You two definitely were eating like the King and Queen of food vlogs.
Awww thank you Jo! Omg you would have been so into these dumplings- I’m still dreaming about them. Thanks for watching mate and hope you’re having a great weekend. Cheers, Sheena
Thanks so much for watching mate! This was such a fun one to film- such a delicious few days of eating. Hope you’re having a great weekend! Cheers, Sheena

Greetings from Monterey, CA!! Another awesome job!! That looks amazing!! I have to go all the way to San Francisco for my roast meats. You guys look great!!!!

Thank you for featuring our neck of the woods. :) Surprised that Love a Duck didn't make your list, they're Yangzhou fried rice is so good. We've been wondering how the rest of the place would be and this is so helpful! May God bless your work!
I’m all about a Yangzhou fried rice Jon! Thanks for the hot tip. Lucky you having so many awesome eateries near you-we ate so well! Hope you can make it to some of these spots soon. Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! That looks amazingly delicious. A little shop in Cincinnati only open on weekends does roasted meat I drove 146 miles or 246 km. It was worth it but I'm still jealous of your restaurant. You had me at pigs ear salad yummy. The noodles the noodles I think I'll have a cry now. Oh those dumplings are fabulous.
Now that is commitment! That's a really long drive mate! So much deliciousness in this video- and all of it so different. Would share if we could! Thanks for watching and commenting- hope you're having a great weekend and not working too hard mate. Cheers, Sheena

Hi guys my belated thanks for the last episode , that was fantastic. I have been busy getting stuff organised for a trip to Bali , just waiting on the Indo government to give its approval to Visa on Arrival and no quarantine for fully vaxed people , thats me . So I'm thinking Bali in April , May and NZ in June , cheers for now Alister in OZ.
That’s so awesome mate! You must be chomping at the bit to get over there. Just imagine that tropical heat, the beautiful people, the food and the cold beers. Have an amazing time! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena
I love Chinese food, although I doubt if I've ever had authentic, let alone regional. Around here, if it's spicy and numby, it's labeled Szechuan. The mung bean jelly looks intriguing! Everything looked good, and my mouth was watering from your descriptions. Well done you and Northcote!
Thanks so much MsKestrela! What’s your go to order when you’re out for Chinese? Hope we get to share a Chinese meal together one day! Thanks for watching and we’re so happy you enjoyed this series 💕 Cheers, Sheena
@@ChasingaPlate My go to is something like cashew chicken and shrimp fried rice. I like things that are saucy and a little spicy. Sharing a meal of any sort with you would be wonderful!!
Selamat pagi/Kia Ora 🙏😊 So nice and very Happy indeed to hear from you again 👏😁🙏 You guys so Blessed indeed 🙏👍 NZ are Blessed indeed One Day I will be visiting NZ 🙏🙏🙏 Terima kasih 🙏😊
Kia ora Arnold! Thanks so much for watching mate. Hope you enjoy this series- we ate some seriously great food. We're so lucky to have such diversity in cuisine here in New Zealand. Cheers, Sheena 😄
Really love your content!! You're both awesome and putting a spotlight on what look like some great spots to try. I was wondering if you would consider doing a feature on West Auckland? would love that :)
Hi Micah! Thanks so much for the kind words 😍 Heck yes! We totally need to get out West more to do a comprehensive reccy and then film some videos. We’ve done a little exploring and what we’ve eaten has been epic. Hope we can get onto it soon! Thanks for watching mate, so stoked you’re loving our content. Cheers, Sheena
Woowoowooo! Ever since my favorite Korean restaurant closed down 5 years ago, I am yet to find another place that has the mung bean jelly side dish - I am sooooo visiting this town centre 🥰😍🤩😘 Oh and that dumpling place, I will be getting a whole bunch as well, as my favorite motto goes DUMPLING IS LIFE 🤣
Dumplings ARE LIFE! 👊 so glad there’s a spot serving mung bean jelly for you to try. There are so many great spots in this little hub- hope you enjoy exploring just as much as we did! Thanks for watching! Cheers, Sheena
We’d love to get back to Sri Lanka one day! It’s been 6 years since our last visit. Thanks for watching and commenting mate. Hope you enjoyed this video. Cheers, Sheena
Hey team, I'm a massive fan of Vietnamese vermacelli dishes I was wondering what's your #1 recommended Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland? I've been watching your Vietnam videos and would love to have the opinion from someone who's been there! Thanks for the great videos!
Hi mate, thanks so much for watching! We like Try it Out in Otahuhu and we ate a tasty vermicelli salad with beef- a bun bo nuong at a cafe called Mug n Bowl in Mt Roskill a few days ago- it had loads of delicious, fresh herbs. Hope that helps 😄 I’d say the major flavour difference is that in Vietnam a lot of the meat is cooked over charcoal (for the salad type dishes) so you get that smoky flavour which adds another dimension to a dish. Happy eating mate. Cheers, Sheena
Kia ora Maria! Thanks for watching this one- omg Northcote has so much great food- we especially love Fu U Bbq- such delicious roast meats. Cheers, Sheena

With that many places to eat you put on my to do list i wonder if i'll ever make it out of Auckland once NZ reopens :/ Probably safer to fly to Christchurch first :D Thanks for sharing.
Haha sorry mate! We’re so lucky here aren’t we. There is so much great food to eat. We loved getting to know this area and filming these videos. We had so many great meals. Thanks heaps for watching this one. Cheers, Thomas 😀
@@ChasingaPlate No worries. We got plenty of good restaurants over here in europe. But it's mostly europeanized so i love to try the the "no one here would order that" stuff ;)
Gloves aren’t very common in even the most high end of restaurants. As long as people handling food properly wash and clean their hands when necessary it’s safe. Often when people use gloves there’s cross contamination as they don’t change their gloves as often as they should. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Sheena
As an Asian who has lived and grown up in Asia. I can hardly believe that this is the best. Just looking at roast meats, it I can tell its not the best. Probably mediocre at best or normal. I suggest not to over sell and over react on the dishes. Just keep it real.
Totally keeping it real. The whole premise of our channel is to showcase incredible food and small businesses so it would be counter-productive to feature mediocre food. My family had a roast meat shop for years and I trust my tastebuds- happy to say something is fantastic when it truly is. Cheers, Sheena
