Ever seen a DH.103 Sea Hornet in action? Though it's often mistaken for the Mosquito, I caught this rare gem at the AMA Nats last year, and it was easily my favorite model there. This RC DH.103's electrifying flight really captures the spirit of the original warbird. Just had to share this beautiful model with you!

Beautiful.. The DH-103 was my first scratch built plane.. Great flyer even on one engine.. I still have the plans from RC Modeler magazine from many years ago..

I thought I recognized that serial number. Sea Hornet TT213 was evaluated in Australia, on loan from UK, during 1948-50. Not taken up by RAAF and returned to UK early 1951. Very nice model and great job by owner/builder/flyer. Good to see any model with Aussie connections.

This is an incredible slick model. Chris do you know what company make a decent one piece 12-14 inch 4 blade electric prop for a 6s freewing mustang? (Moded set up) Need something that’s not in 4 pieces so it’s more balanced. The props in the vid seem spot on. Thanks-Ant

There was one master scale version by Dario Brisigella. Hung at EAA museum for many years. An awesome representation of this fine aircraft. Did you build the one shone? Know more,please show more of it!

Personally, I’d rather that than seeing cylinders protruding through the streamlined nacelles. But, to each his own as we all have different preferences. 😊

@@Thercgeek For planes like the Hornet we have (had, as Alan from Weston UK is not selling them anymore) the RCV SP inline piston engines that come in 60, 90 and 120 flavours. It is a very compact four stroke rotating valve engine that turns big props. Anyway, the model is fantastic whatever engines it has.
