I am sure that everyone would agree with me when I say THANK YOU for your help Gregor. yes, I know it's your job, but you deserve great credit and thanks from all of us. THANK YOU.
I’ve been using studio one for a while now and every time I watch one of these videos I realize how much super useful features I’m missing out on! Thanks always for these videos. They have made my life much easier.
After watching bunch of tutorials from you decided that it's time to switch Ableton to S1 i found bunch of features that includes S1 What I was looking for since so long , Thankyou......
0:38 Dealing with Cackles and audio issues 1:23 CPU usage display 2:06 Latency 3:00 Midi detector 3:38 Loop functions 5:32 Recording on top of other notes 6:28 note repeat (echo)
Thankyou, very helpful... I might make another run at getting the Roland GR 55 guitar synth to midi. up again using the midi transport bar functions, worth a try !! great info..
Thank you Gregor! These instructional videos are extremely helpful. You speak rather quickly sometimes though and I have to go back but your knowledge of this stuff is irrefutable. Thanks again!
I am new switching from FL atudio im actually using both..but since im new to Studio..this was an awesome gem..never knew...thanks so much..u r awesome..
I always appreciate your videos Gregor. I have been recording keyboards long before Midi. :) I am now vision impaired, so your videos have been very helpful in navigating Studio One. Keep the videos coming!
Probably not the place to leave this...but another feature I could see w/ the transport bar could be the 'always on top' feature (don't think it exists). When you have editors or vst plugins open in separate windows...the transport bar would always be above them. Just an idea. I'd have that feature w/ a checkbox so it could be turned on or off.
Great tip , many thanks to you But could you as soon as possible make a video on how to midi-out an instrument track to instrument track inside studio one As a way out to solve lacking this feature in studio one while it is there in abelton live Or providing at least it as a plugin like FL studio There must be a way I am sure
Hi Gregor, THANKS! You mentioned a video on "Takes and Layers and Comping" (06:10 in this vid) but I can't seem to locate it. Anyone know the link mentioned?
I did not know about the Note Repeat!!! Never even noticed it! That is really cool! so is it like playing quantized for you? Does it write a MIDI note for each repeat? Are you able to control the length of each repeat?
I want to be able to set the grid to my liking without changing the grid in the song or event. The same way we used to do this in Ableton (CTRL+1, CTRL+2 etc.). It really sucks I cannot do this
Hello. Tell me if there is an opportunity to put a picture in Studio one for clarity on the track, and not just paint. ( Drums, guitar, strings... ) Thank you!
HI Gregor, I'm having a problem with my midi when I use Presence. I play a melody and by the time I play back it only plays choppy notes Help!! I can't use any thing via midi.
please can you make a video on how to change the key on loop, do it slowly so i can see how is done please been trying to chage the key but i cant find were, please help
Hallo Gregor. Like your Tutorials. Greetings from Germany/Baden-Württemberg.
When I use my I pad, I cannot see the performance mode arrangement section titles. I spent quite a bit of time naming and arranging sections and thought with studio one remote would show the sections of the songs..anyone else?
While some features are really nice, others can easily be removed for the sake of a clearer and more minimalistic interface. This does not change the fact that Studio One is a great DAW.
So many options and tips... but main thing in Studio one - transparency - thin lines in midi parts that can not be - visibility black waveforms instread of light (gray) that are similar to FL Studio. My eyes are crying... try to focus and I`m studing your tips ... but there is lack of main features ... on the grid each 4 bars should be marked - shade of colour as in FL studio... (could be an option) It is easy to figure out the project... etc I have many suggestions but if the basics will be updated in Studio One 7 I would be pleased.
Hi Konrad, have you checked out the "Appearance" preferences? You can set your preferred grid line contrast and many other options there. Waveform colors can also be adjusted now, thanks to the new Color Picker tool we have in version 6.1. -GBY
Cool info, really love Studio One, even though I only play around with it using an Atom. One feature request I would like, so I could just use S1 instead of Audition for a radio station I edit, would be built in noise reduction tools. I guess audition more aimed at spoken word and studio one music so maybe asking too much, one can wish though!
Talking TOO FAST, as most presenters do. Hard to absorb the info a that rate. Especially when combined with the thick ACCENT and super sharp S's. At least cut the HI EQ down, and/or put a de-esser in your mic chain. Good info, but I can hardly take it, with the SPEED and sharp frequencies in Gregor's voice.
Hi Tim, sorry to hear that! I'm already using a De-esser on my chain and can't see any excessive S-frequencies in my spectrum meter either. Perhaps you have some sort of Equalizer inserted in your signal chain? Apologies that you're finding my presentation style too fast - RU-vid has a Playback speed function, maybe that would come in handy here. I've heard that my voice sounds oddly relaxing at 0.75 speed...:) -GBY
