Hello all of you!
I have been wanting to cover this song since I heard it a couple of months ago and it truly sounds like a song out of the 1920's or 1930's. To be very honest, I heard it first on Tik Tok and I thought it was an older song and was very surprised to find out it was released not too long ago.
Hidden in the Sand is the fifteenth and final song on Tally Hall's first studio album released in 2005, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum and was written by Joe Hawley.

@MusicManMaurice Not everything is so improved as you might think. Auto and factory emmisions put so many particulates in the air, that the sky is a different hue of blue than it used to be. The last four or five generations of people have never seen the true color of the sky. Yes, there were some regulations, but most of them were dismantled by past presidential administrations. Pollution in this Country is bad, but it doesn't compare to some other Countries, where it runs rampant. The atmosphere is not limited to one Country. We are all breathing it, and being kept alive by it every moment of our lives.

You are an amazing artist and my wife and I love your music. Since you are into vintage styles and music, PLEASE consider having your recordings pressed on Vinyl; or at least some. Last year more vinyl was sold than CD's and vinyl is experiencing a strong comeback. If you do, find a recording studio which will do your work from mic to album all 100% ANALOG, like it was done for many years. You have a freestanding order from us for an album(s) and we will pay extra to have you autograph it as well. Digital has come along ways and really sounds as good as analog, in some cases better. However, this still requires the audio to be converted to digital codes and then back to analog. Pure analog can sound VERY good and is a joy to listen to, from your lips to the listener's ear, without digital zero's and one's trying to replicate analog.. Janet Devlin is another artist we admire and she had great success with her vinyl recordings which were all sold before any were shipped. They command a high price on the used market.. I don't know whether he is still recording artists or not, but Pierre Sprey of Mapleshade Records is the closest thing to what you are describing. All CD's, though. No vinyl, as far as I know. Last I heard, he was looking for a place to do vinyl, but I don't know if he ever found one.

Oh Allison, I don't know this song. If you do that song, I would try to see if you could find one of the old wall clocks from the early 1960's that was a black and white cat. The tail moved and it had big eyes. I believethe eyes moved too. I always call these clocks Felix. It somewhat resembled "Felix the cat". Toad absolutely must play a staring role in the video too.

The Lilian and Dorothy Gish look becomes you. Lilian acted into her 90s and remained a beautiful lady throughout her life. Dorthy, 4 and half years younger, stopped acting in 1963 and sadly passed away at age 70. Both sisters were beautiful movie stars in the early years of film. This video reminded me of their movies and persona.

Hey Allison 😄 I just discovered you through PMJ. This is amazing though, thanks for making such an awesome cover of one of my favorite bands! Together with the video you did such a great job on this! Tally Hall is greatly missed. Not saying you should cover it, but check out "Dream Sweet in Sea Major" by ミラクルミュージカル (Translated: Miracle Musical) of the Album Hawaii Part II. It's written and performed by some of the members of Tally Hall, and very much in the style of this song and the rest of their old work.
