I miss 90s universal studios as a whole. Jaws, Kong, Back to the Future, Nickelodeon studios, the original Hard Rock Cafe, Ghostbusters, I'm sure I'm missing something.
I still stand by saying destroying Amity / JAWS was a huge mistake. It's like if Disney tore down the Haunted Mansion and made a Frozen ride instead. As for bringing Potter to Universal, they should have just made a show experience at Fear Factor, and then used MIB for a new ride. That way they would have had 2 Potter attractions, and then JAWS would remain. What they ended up doing just feels super awkward and forced into the area. Not to mention to us non-Potter heads it just feels like the same atmosphere as the land in IOA. Epic Universe needs an Amity some day. :) Great video Alicia! :)
@@villalobosedwin1214 no all the videos you watch have nothing deadly what? did the shark actually tear out a piece of the boat did the driver shoot you with the pyrotechnics grenade launcher like what happened
Disney already replaced the Maelstrom with a boring Frozen ride with their creepy video screen faces, and all of the Norway pavillion (based on a real country with real people with real history) was refurbished to be more like "Arendelle" (a fictional country, with no native peoples and no history)
I miss it! Especially as I'm not into Potter so its replacement doesn't do much for me. I also miss how much the ride terrified my daughter, and to this day any mention of Jaws makes her cringe 😁 Great little vid Alicia and with extra kudos given your history and association with the ride 👍
Great video I miss the Jaws ride I it was a great ride it's sad to see it go I bought some stuff from the Jaws store I wish unverial studios would bring it back I was 2 years old when Jaws 2 came is there any movie props from Jaws 2 though 4 movies
In the new epic universe I’d like a Luigi’s Mansion ride, a scooby doo ride, and a ghostbusters ride. I don’t know where they could put ghostbuster ride and scooby doo but it would be cool and jaws 😊😊😊😊🦈🦈🦈🦈🚤🚤🚤
Every time I went on this when I was a little kid my mom and dad would play a joke on me and lift/tilt me out of the boat right next to the jaws animatronic and I was shook from then on
Wouldn’t it be great if at Epic Universe they had an area of reimagined classic attractions. Especially an updated jaws ride using the latest tech that would be so awesome.
@@athing8846 fair enough each to There own, I can see your point, onwards and upwards. But personally I never got to ride a lot of the classics, so would like the chance to, especially if they are reimagined using the latest tech, I think there is a market for retro IP’s, but like I said each to there own.
I completely understand why Universal brought Potter to the park, but I'll always have a slight grudge against it shoving Jaws out of the way. Does anyone know what happened to the screen used boats from Jaws The Revenge that were outside the ride's entrance?
Wait huh I have never heard of the animatronic being buried under the fountain crazy but which one the burnt the ending scene, the fire scene or the boat house which if I was to guess the ending scene but not the burnt version
Harry Potter land: *exists* Me before hearing “Jaws will always be there!” from a random RU-vidr: 🤩 Me after hearing: “Jaws will always be there!” from a random RU-vidr: 🤢
I'm hoping they build that phase 2 ride for the Monsters land based on Creature from the Black Lagoon, because it sounds like it would be very similar to the old Jaws ride... like a spiritual successor.
I still don't understand why they removed the second rope from the hanging shark. Instead of being a fisherman's catch, it's now like the shark is still alive and looking up at you
The first time I went here was about a year after Jaws closed down ;-; I don't see why they had to close it down to make room for a Potter attraction since they already have a Potter land in one of the other connected parks
I've never been on it but i kinda feel sad it was demolished. Though i do have submechanophobia, so i'd possibly not go on it but just watch how it unfolds if i ever went to Universal.
I still don’t like that they took out this classic ride...I never got to ride it and it took so long to design it back then...maybe they can make a newer version in the future
