Amazing plate lunches only back home they serve alot !!! Scooper is a must ! We love Sisig ! Mom & Pop businesses are the best ! Hidden Gems ! Awesome you two !!!
Seeing the Mountain Magic Shave Ice booth in the dessert segment brought back childhood memories of when I used to go with my mom after she finished work where sports authority used to be. I remember always getting the rainbow shaved ice and talking story with one of the old owners of the booth
Going to get that Scooper's Kitchen mixed plate my next day in Waipahu. That community has a wealth of resources for those of us living in next door Ewa Beach. I really credit the local Filipino community for such rich offerings of affordable, always well prepared fresh food. I always love trying the places without big signs. They stay in business because locals are loyal return customers. Even Zippy's iconic oxtail soup is close to $25 these days. My next market buys will be at the Festival Marketplace. Mahalo for all your food tours. ❤
Making videos is hard work. It takes a lot of time and money. Thank you guys for everything you're doing. Really enjoyable and relaxing to watch your products. Thanks again
Wow Amanda and Felix, just another awesome mouthwatering food video. The big serving of beef and chicken with rice looks delish. And of course you can't go wrong with pork sisig combined with beef pares. Great job guys! Hopefully next time we're there you can show us those places.
Bummahs! I took my family to Plantation Village on Thursday, so we missed all those ono looking places. But since we were in the area, we did hit Tanioka's. We'll have to hit those places next year as my daughter's fiance wants to come back to Hawaii. Mahalo for letting us know about Ireh. Hands down best meat jun I've ever had. Even my wife, who doesn't normally eat beef, loved it. My daughter and her fiance also loved everything there. Only bad part they all said, was that it was too bad we went there on Friday. Why Friday, you ask? Because we left on Saturday. Also another mahalo for Waioli Kitchen & Bake Shop. My family also loved that place and we went there twice. I couldn't believe how close that place was to my grandparents' house, walking distance! Mahalo again and keep up the great work!
Aloha, Amanda & Felix...Loved this episode, I like off the beaten path food eateries. You both visited really great places. I'm hungry Lol! The Teri beef and mushroom chicken looked soo ono. Mac salad really creamy & the perfect side. The flies were unreal that day, I think that Felix needs to carry the fly fans in the car and use when needed. When Felix was eating the Beef Pare and took a bite of the green chili, I thought wow, "how brave", then he choked up the heat and I laughed and laughed & laughed. It was so funny. Felix you da man! Hahaha! I visit the shave ice place when cooling down is needed in the Waikele area. It really gives the fix you need. Have a great day.
I've heard of Sisig with the other parts so happy to hear I can get a lechon version. Lol. I was too afraid to try the other kind. Scoopers is the best, and yes, the lady at the Window is so nice!
Please visit PHO K&A. I was on vacation and had bad pho at an bougie place. The next night I have to have some better pho and randomly Googled a place. Pho K&A is family owned and the son and mother was so welcoming. I was raving at the side veggies because where I'm from, we don't get all those exotic veggies. The pho soup was amazing and so were the spring roll. Please go there for one of the episodes and let me know what you guys think. If I see the episode, it's going to make me want to come back to Oahu so bad just to have pho!
Aloha guys 🌺 all I can say is yummy , going to have to try that shaved ice truck , we pass all the time never have stopped at , but we will next year …… 👍👍👍
Hi Felix and Amanda.... loved this hidden Gems. Good value and great flavors. These places are really tucked away so glad you showed us where to find them! 🔥👍
OMG, I love lechon so that sisig looked amazing! Put me down for chewy brownies. And thanks for finding these hidden gems for us -- your foodie ohana loves you! 🥰
I live in Waipahu and feel very fortunate to have easy access to these places. SW8 Dada Sisig is my favorite out of the three and I gladly pay $13 for that bowl of Beef Pares Mami. I'm just back from work duty travel overseas and spent several weeks in the Philippines gorging myself on street food including sisig and beef pares where they both cost 60 pesos or approximately $1.05/USD each!!!
If you thought Scoopers mac salad was good, try their toss greens with the homemade dressing (love her French dressing). The fudge brownie is included in their micro mini, mini and regular plates.
@@AmandaFelixEats Oops I hope I didn’t come off as harsh. It was more a note for myself. Natural for you not to know. Arakawa’s probably closed their doors before you were born 😀
Another place I have to try on my next trip back. I love sisig and just tried making it for the first time last week. You have to make two types of pork, crispy and tender. My wife screamed when she saw the stovetop. I had to boil one and fry the other... It's easier to do take-out. The wife won't be traumatized.😂
