insane how some of their most intricate stuff is buried in the mix. Usually bands play the solos over the verse or chorus riffs but James really dug deep to make the instrumental sections stand out. Probably his most underrated feature as a songwriter
The riff behind the solo in Fight Fire with Fire is also awesome, that one always sticks out to me when I hear it. I wind up listening to the rhythm more than the solo. Same with Ride the Lightning (song). James is the master!
Fun fact, it took me years to understand what was playing until I heard the rhythm only track and took me a long time to understand how to play it. It's basically thunderkiss but faster.
I looked at a bunch of live clips and they never look like they do 7-0-6-0 in frayed ends. It looks like 6-0-5-0 throughout the whole thing, Ben Eller also stated that in his lesson. I also love how damage inc is simply mashing low e
Those live clips aren't from the era in which the song was written. They also play the pre-solo riff in Disposable Heroes wrong too in modern day. It's entirely possible for them to relearn their own song wrong.
@@kylebrady969Or to purposely play it differently because they like it better or it's easier to play on stage during their marathon downpicking sessions
Actually, that first riff (00:25 - 00:52) combined with solo, is my favorite Metallica's riff. Solo is misleading to think it is going 1,2,3, 1,2,3 instead of 1,2, 1,2... For years i was mislead (until i started playing guitar and started focusing on some things). Simple and gorgeous combination. Sounds so good.
Wow. This was incredible. Metallica is so good these riffs would be main riffs by any other band but they are like nope we’ve got other riffs for that let’s just use these under the solo 😅
İbrahim Hoca'm sizin her videonuzu beğenerek izliyorum, ama son zamanlarda yayınladığınız videolar çok çok harika.Özellikle bu video gerçekten çok özgün.Tuşenize sağlık 🤘💀🤘
Some insanely good hidden gems. You really gotta learn the whole song all the way through (with the layers as well) to fully appreciate some of the songs and albums. Sick playing as well man
As someone who modeled his playing off of James for years. Thanks for letting the newer fans realize how damn good James Hetfield is.. If we all good have his right hand though :D. \m/
Some really good hidden riffs are from the black album. Most notably, there’s the galloping rhythm in the bridge of “Holier Than Thou” and the backing riff of the bridge of “Wherever I May Roam.”
10/10 content as always. Only thing is, this video needs an informative intro about what you want to show, like overlooked riffs under to solos etc. The target audience is just Metallica nerds now 😅

That's all pretty good, but Het keeps some of those palm mutings even more aggressively staccato than the way you played them. Your pedals are pretty on point though.
