I live near Pahoa off the grid. I am not oceanfront but I can still drive there in my Landcruiser.

I don't really want to hate o ocean front property. I love a lot of it but can I ask. How big of a carbon foot print? Does building on sand. Make? I get they have some of the good dirt but to build on but the sand next to it washes away

This neighborhood has been established in the 70ties. The corrosion is real, but the seawalls protect the oceanfront properties. We don't get the rough seas on the south side as much as the north shores.

Beautiful, but I’m not sure I would l like to be right next to the park, also I don’t think you mentioned whether or not the house came completely furnished.

The house does come fully furnished. The park and the walking distance to everything makes the location exciting from a social aspect (great dog community, too). The minute you past the gate, you're in your own quiet world.

Scarlett, you seem like a lovely person, however, this home is nothing like the “old Hawai’i” you refer to. If you want to use that term properly then you should refer to Ossipoff, or the gorgeous palaces of Hawaiian royalty or the old plantation managers home, like the Baldwin home on Maui. This home you represent couldn’t be farther from “old Hawai’i”.

I agree the Baldwin plantation home in Haiku hill (that's the one you referring to, right?) is magical..., my reference was more for the Polynesian style architecture, before the palaces (colonized renaissance influence) were built. You can find them in the Polynesian Cultural Center.
