You totally inspired me! I didn't have your stamps, so I used my old Cricut to cut out a paper doll, a bicycle and layers of grass. My sentiment on the front was "Guess What?". The pull out strip said, "I Wheelie love you!" It's going in the mail to my 3 year old granddaughter tomorrow. Thanks for all your great ideas!
I too prefer to hide the slider cut out so this tutorial is perfect for me Jennifer! Thanks so much for your amazing tips, tricks and cards! Until next time....
I love that tab mechanism! I'm making a birthday card for my best friend so that when she pulls the tab the rest of the sentiment shows and the candles go out. This is so helpful! Your explaining is amazing!
So very cute Jennifer, love the different ideas for sliders. A fun way to surprise the recipient when the card is interactive but at first glance, it doesn't appear to be. ♥ that!
I was thinking on doing slider cards for Easter with sliding bunnies when I watched your video. I was so happy because earlier this week I ordered grass die and I got it today. Hiding the slider is a great idea. Thank you for sharing this fun card!
WOW! Great tip on lining up the die to the stamped image! That's going to be a life saver for me! And I love that you've hidden the slide mechanism, I can't wait to try it! Thank you!
OMG Jennifer....Your Slider Cards are Funtabulous & Super Cute!! It was awesome being able to watch you create each one...and you never cease to amaze with all of your ever so clever and creative ideas.....you truly take the intimidation out of making a slider and your results are definitely Spectacular. Thanks for sharing your Tremendously Terrific Tutorial and your Tips, Tricks & Techniques....Truly more Outstanding Creative Jobs!! Love your Lila Story that was precious. YOU so ROCK!! Joan Smith
Hi, I LOVE the pull-tab technique for the slider cards, going to make several of those!!! These cards are all adorable, especially the little girl riding the bicycle w/the puppy in the basket, so precious!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
I have not been around due to some issues going on with my life. I tried doing a slider hidden track and failed so completely. I did turn it into something else. I don't know if I can post it here but if I can I will or on your blog. Thank you so much for all you do for the kindness needs in this world. ❤️❤️
Wow, I learned a lot watching this video! Love the hidden slider track idea. Also, thanks for sharing the tip about how to die cut images more accurately. Nothing makes me sadder than to beautifully color an image and then not cut it out well. Great video!
You are always amazing! Knocking it out of the park once again! Thank you so so much for taking the time to make videos to show us fun techniques and wonderful card making! Have a very blessed day!❤❤❤
Gorgeous cards! Thank you for sharing the tip on using the negative cut out to align the die! It's sometimes a struggle to get a perfect die cut. Hugs, Vina
Great tutorial . Thanks. I have the entire set of Lawn Fawn inks. They are fabulous. The Copic friendly black is my go to. I have two blacks but obviously one of them is alcohol ink resistant . (Jet black and Black Licorice.)
Love your card examples! I just got some of these products as well and I can't wait to play with them. I've seen several examples of the slider dies but I really like your version of the "hidden" one. Thanks for sharing I can't wait to try this!
Very informative and clear instructions. My favorite is the astronaut boy. I'll be checking out Lila's astronaut girl! Glad to see LF coming out with ink cubes. I have some of their inks and i really like them but ink cubes enable the budget to go further.
Hi Jennifer ~ Thanks so much for breaking down the understandable steps for us....your tutorials are always wonderful. Thanks for being you! ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters
WOW! Love how you made hidden slider cards! Looking forward to seeing you making an "explosion" box card. video with Easter Theme or Treat boxes using Lawn Fawn's new release dies. Absolutely LOVE your techniques, tips! Makes card making fund again for me. Thank YOU Very Much for Sharing!
Thank you, thank you for including the reminder tip on how to cut out the stamps with the dies. I just got a Big Shot Plus last week and am having a ball with it, but couldn't cut out my stamped images correctly. It made some pretty neat shadowing for the script lettering, though. 😄 I have another newbie question: does it hurt the machine if you flip the sandwich upside down (die on top of paper rather than beneath) like you do? Sizzix recommends it below the paper, but I like your way better...I can see it going through. I don't want to jeopardize my machine, though. Is it just knowing the bottom plate will get marked up and adjusting that way? Thanks for your videos. You have inspired me and gotten me back into paper crafting again!
All of these are so cute. I have a question about the storage for the new cubes. You mentioned the Tim Holtz ink storage. These cubes must be the same size as all the others, right? Thanks in advance for the answer🙂
Hi Jennifer, I love watching your videos, just wondering if you have made a card/tutorial of a card that has some sort of mechanism for a pop up, but the pop up element comes up in the fold edge at the top of the card, so not inside or a box or anything, sorry I can't explain it any better just hoping you can figure out what I mean lol xx
Whew! I just got done trying to make this card and thought it was very difficult. Jumped right into this one without trying something simpler at first, my big mistake. It would be great to have a rating system, like one to three stars for "easy", intermediate, and difficult...just a thought. It's hard to get the stilts just right, it's hard to shade colors, and so this card might be considered more challenging? My bike kept getting caught on the grass, so guess the little girl wasn't high enough. Going to try again tomorrow...
Hi, I am from Turkey and I love your videos, I just wonder that you never use cricut explorer or silhouette or something like these machines, can i ask why?
I'm having trouble with coloring and shading...any suggestions on that? Do you explain coloring more thoroughly in some of your other videos maybe? My other problem is I'm using Stazon black ink and even after awhile, it seems to smear a little bit with the markers...
Jeannie S i forgot the name of it but there's one specific ink Jennifer suggests (or the one suggesting it could be Kristina Werner too I don't exactly remember) with the shading I can suggest thinking about where the light would hit on an object and in which parts it would cast a shadow, try imagining the real life version of what you're coloring under lighting in specific angles
great sliders. love the idea of hiding the mechanism. but does anyone make a dark foam tape and/or pads? the spaceboy card had white tape visible from above, a bit of a spoiler.
I bought some anti static powder to dust by Ek Tools and the darn powder doesn't want to come out...do you ever have trouble with that? any suggestions from anyone how to get it to work. It's brand new. Bought it online...would dusting with cornstarch and a little brush work?
