My parents has always told me that the artisans during the Ankorian period had the ability to turn soil into sandstone, the soil dug from the moats were transformed into sandstone to built the Temples. But through wars and turmoil, this skill was lost, the ankorian city abandoned after the Thai’s keeps sacking the city.

Angkor wat is a continuation of the splendid temple architecture of south India. The great Hindu temples of south India are constructed on the basis on geometry, physics and vaastu shastra. In South India there are hundreds which stand testimony to that fact and are still used by the Hindus for worship like their ancestors did 2000 years back. Angkor wat is built in a similar tradition of architectural excellence combined with great geometry, physics and vaastu shastra to stand the test of time. A glorious symbol of ancient Hindu tradition the most scientific religion of the world.
King Surya varman is actually a Cholan king of south india. Combodian including other South Asian countries were under the control of Chola empire of south India. This temple is made as per the traditional Dravidian architecture . Indeed indian architectures were far ahead of time , but sadly we lost those antique technologies.

First of all,great video,regarding Angkor Wat mysteries. Secondly, I don’t think Angkor is 900 years old and it didn’t take 37 years to build. In my own personal opinion. It must be older than what it has been claimed and took longer than what was speculated to built. I don’t think the truth will ever be known,because I don’t think anyone ever tried to translated the inscriptions carved on the walls.

Hi, Great presentation on the wonders of Angkor Wat, having the same questions I' ve had when I visited it. Just a few minor correction on historical details. One, Suryavaraman II, may or may not be a usurper, He may also be the rightful heir or the king he killed is a minor one, a usurper and not the actual. The inscription is he fought with "king(s)", scholars generally think that it refered to the main one. Jayavaraman VII did not convert the temple or empire into Buddhism because he dislike Hinduism. The Bayon' s actual name before the French mispronounciation is Jayakiri, named after the king and meant Victory Mountain. Since it it a state temple, it represented everyone in the state. It had religious symbols of Buddhist and Hindu gods. The faces can both represented Buddhist protective diety Avalokesvara, and one of the three main god of Hinduism Brahma. More of trying to get religious unity. The capital did not changed to Angkor Thom, in the way it generally meant. Based on lidar images, we saw that the area encompassing those huge temples are only the "downtown" section of the city. You can just imagine a corporation changed headquarter into a newly built skyscraper in the same city. The accomplishments of Angkor Wat, the Barays and other monuments is resulted from over 1000 years of accumulated knowledge. There are miles-long canals that was bulit prehistory. From the first or second century, there are stone temples, their woods already gone. Angkor Wat was built in Treta Yuga. See the Puranas for correct Vedic time chronology. There are four Yugas (ages) that recycle. 1) Satya Yuga, 2) Treta Yuga, 3) Dvapara Yuga, 4) Kali Yuga. We are into the beginning of Kali Yuga the age we are in now by 5-6 thousand years. Kali Yuga lasts for around 336,000 years. The age before lasts twice as long as the age that comes right after so Dvapara Yuga is twice as long as Kali Yuga and Trata Yuga is twice the length of Dvapara Yuga and Satya Yuga is twice the length of Treta Yuga. That’s how you find how old Angkor Wat really is. Vishnu incarnated as Rama. Angkor Wat was built in Rama’s time period which was at the end of Treta Yuga because Rama stood for a transition of Treta into Dvapara Yuga rulership. No Buddhist are associated with building temples these temples are pre Buddhist only later claimed by Buddhist kings as their creation which really is covering up the true Vedic originators.
