I love these videos! I collect all sorts of glass. I'm gonna dig through my stuff and double check my perfume bottles! The effoff on the baby bottle one was hilarious 🤣 😆
I found a big chanel bottle half full at a thrift store for a couple of bucks....and my daughter SNATCHED it. "Oh Mom I WANT that!" Lol So I have no idea what it would have sold for.
Starting off with the blue bottle with the details on the front and gold emboss stamp looking from old era it’s really cool. I just love blue glass. Iother people do?
I sold an antique crystal perfume bottle with a figural frosted glass stopper for $145 including shipping, earlier this month. In my mind it was worth a lot more, but I'm happy with the sale. I think the market is now softer for certain collectibles that used be hotter items, particularly many antique perfume bottles and buttons. I have a cologne bottle ca.1900 engraved and cut crystal that's very pretty, but so far there hasn't been much interest in it. I also have several newer perfume bottles including some of those kooky ones by Jean-Paul Gaultier, but they still have perfume in them. If I thought I could get a good price for them I'd consider pouring them out, lol.
Another YTer said recently that Ebay updated their fragrance and cosmetics policy to allow partial bottles if it's a spray. Have you seen anything on this?
If I find something I want to sell on ebay, how should I list it? I am kind of frustrated because I tried selling my first item, and three different people bid on my item, but when the sale was over, the person never paid. I had to cancel the order, and now I am asking for help. If I find a nice item I think COULD sell for $100+ dollars, but I find it at a thrift store, how do I post it? I think maybe when I am doing an auction, my buy it now price might be too high - but that also leaves me wondering whether I should even do an auction format. Would it be better to have a ten day auction, with a low "buy it now price" (like $250), vs. just listing it at $100?
I would do buy it now but if you're new i recommend buying 10 to 15 things cheap to get your feedback up so you don't get scammers. Make sure to buy from different sellers. It can be $2 pens even
These always get me excited too. I bought 2 matching perfume bottles but 1 had a huge chip in the top but they were GORGEOUS and I believe quite old, 1800's. Also missing the stoppers. But I kept them and turned them into snowmen 😅.
