To secure cash, you want it locked and immovable. This box achieves neither? It can be carried and unscrewed with ease. Perhaps if this box were disguised as a toaster or something, it might work that way.

hiding paper money is worse than useless, when it will be massively devalued when the usa economy tanks. much better to invest in precious metals, like gold and silver, which over all maintains or increases its value. even hoarding knowledge and tech would do more for you, especially if you have the know-how to maintain or make things like wind and water turbines, or generators and fuel to keep them running. cash is just paper and a promise, which is worthless when the government making the promise is gone.
