Can’t believe at the age of 66 that I’ve just learnt to tie my trainer shoe laces correctly! Love the bow-less look, and tucking the laces under the insole. Now to sort out the rest of my shoes! Cheers for that!

Only problem with these methods is that your shoe is super loose. I currently use the third method but have to tie the laces tighter in order to keep my shoes from being too loose. Problem is that when you tie them tighter, they sometimes make the tongue sit weird. Neither way seems to be ideal.

@@YourAverageGentmy husband bought a nice pair of checked casual trousers 👖 and he has new pair of training shoes just like those you have on . He tied them as normal showing the laces and I told him he looked a bit of a twat . Saw this video and it makes a massive difference . I'll let him come shopping with me now so thanks you 😃

id say the seconds one works best because the 1st: you can feel the laces, uncomfortable. the 2nd: you cant feel the laces at all, and still very confortable. the 3rd: i don't know how to tie shoelaces.

The problem is if you tuck your laces in then the shoe fits loose and the back end (ankle area) sticks out. I think maybe getting a size smaller then what you normally wear might fix the problem though. A more snug shoe for sure,but when its the laces aren't tied that snug should disappear? Hopefully.

Wait so all three options involve your shoes being loose or having bunched up laces in your shoes? Is there mo option that actual involves tying? It's not safe to have loose fitting shoes.

the last solutions works only with flat laces if you dont want to die suffering :D i dont know why i dont see nowhere my solution which is to tie a knot just behind the hole on the both sides of the lace, then cut the rest and burn the cut with the lighter. no laces in your shoe, just fixed to the position you need for the lifetime

careful cutting shoe laces too short if you tie them off like that, they can come untied and you're out a pair of laces

I make a small eight tightly with laces and put the remaining lace to the side of the sides of the shoes near the ankle gap of the shoe

I will either buy a smaller lace and tie the ends off in side the shoe or just tie a knot in them and cut off the extra.

Bad idea. Tucking your shoe laces just makes your shoe flop out your feet when running. You need to still tie your shoes THEN tuck them. I do that always and that has not been a issue.

All of these are imperfect. I've been on a journey to find the perfect way to hide my shoelaces and this is my conclusion: get some elastic shoelaces from a cheap online store and then instead of doing all the stuff here just cut the extra lace but leave enough for you to sew them on the inside of the shoe. I have a pair of sneakers that brought elastic shoelaces from the manufacturer and this is what they did. Now I just need to figure out what's the best way to sew them 😅

I'm considering elastic shoe laces too, I like the convenience and the no bow look, my only concern is that I like them really tight and I'm unsure it can be done with elastic. For sewing them, it's best to do it by hand. Also would be interesting to try some clear or white shrink bands, those used for the tip of the laces or the electronics kind 😏
