thanks for the review! Was always looking for an IEM with lower inpedience, when referring to the easy to push, do you have any recommandations? Do I need an Hidizs music player like ap80prox?
MS5 is super easy to drive so it will work with practically anything. I have no experience with AP80Pro player so I can't speak for it. For as long as you have a clean sounding source, MS5 will sing
Great review and comparison. The MS5 is a bit out of my price range. I am getting ready to order the Venture Electronics SIE. I am really in to analog sound.
To be honest, As I use them until now, I think that pricing of MS5 is very reasonable as some people thinks as it doesn't. You can only get those technical capabilities (imaging, separation and layering) and resolution competency in an upper midrange to some TOTL segment. Tonality is up to the preferences of listener but you can't deny its lively and dynamic sounding.
@Andy - what are the foam ear tips that you use on the Hidizs MS5 Dark Angel? I couldn't make out what you said. I have just bought a pair of Hidizs MS5 Dark Angel IEMs and I always struggle with the silicon ones.
thanks for the info! Really interesting to see you comparing MS5 to HE400SE, I have heard another guy comparing MS5 to HD650 upon the soundstage, can you please share some thoughts on this?
Thanks. Soundstage wise, of course the perceived headstage is smaller on any IEM. HD650 will be narrow sounding if the power is not sufficient. MS5 on the other hand primarily depends on tips used and as I found out as well impacted by scaled power feed. I think what he described are more on the frontal presentation of HD650
Very detailed review Andy. I would like to see grading for Aful as well. Or at least the overall score if you can say. And MS5 is not an open back design as confirmed by Hidizs.
Nice review sir. i have a question with which one i have to go with like simgot ea500 or kz zvx or s12 pro.kindly guide me. i have kz zs10 pro and blon 03 and i want to upgrade.subscribed.
