How does it compare to my Aryas is it more detailed

More detailed than Arya, less dynamics and less bass impact. More treble and more sparkle. Harder to drive. More analytican than Arya.

@@AudiophileHeaven would they be a step up from my Stax l300s though is the big question ill be using them with my Srm-252s amplifier ive heard they scale better with Stax amps is this true and would the jade 2s benefit from EQ

@@jacobcharters6614 I do honestly think they would sound much better with a good Stax AMP than with the original one, which was limited in volume. As about the EQ, I was not able to EQ any electrostatic headphone to date, they did not respond well to EQ ever. I have limited experience with L300S, but in that experience, the Jade was better

I was wondering, how does a high-end electrostatic headphone like this produce bass and the whole spectrum without a separate driver? I mean, as compared to planar magnetics? And, as opposed to some of the old hybrid headphones that I recently learned AKG once produced (which didn't require any energizer to drive).

The bass is very fast and detailed, does not have a lot of impat, light and snappy, but without the depth and extension that Sundara or HE6SE has (both planars).

@@AudiophileHeaven I see. I've been told that electrostatics tend to lack bass or can't do a heavier bass response. I don't understand why, given something like the Shangri La you're running through both a huge energizer and an external DAC or other power amplifier! Why would I even buy such a thing if it didn't at least have the bass response of a decent planar. I haven't heard any of them so I cannot judge. I do own Hifiman HE400Is, though, and I love the bass on those it's just right to me, sharp, tight, but never over the top.

@@thiscorrosion900 I also love He400i / Sundara my friend! Yep, most electrostats lack both depth and impact, I think it is a thing of very high impedance, Arya is a planar and has this kind of sound, where something like HE6SE, a planar also made by HIFIMAN has the bass of my dreams. Actually HE6Se has pretty much the sound of my dreams, it is so good in person...

@@AudiophileHeaven Now if I can just hit the lottery....anyway, I guess electrostatics are best for classical or jazz music, I'm assuming. Not so much for hard rock or dance music. I'm dying to at least audition the STAX, but there's literally nowhere in NY that sells them, as far as I know. The local audiophile store doesn't carry stuff like that. They told me they can't sell enough to warrant stocking electrostatics. Yet they carry Martin Logan.

Was looking around for reviews to see what people thought about it - as I'm really impressed with them - saw the guy who got shocked by them and then HiFiMan's response. Been using it for over a month now on a daily basis and haven't experienced any flaws myself. Your video was really honest, loved it - subscribed, looking forward to seeing more of your vids on my feed :)
