How long till these start falling off trucks and onto eBay? I've seen several IHPS helmets for sale but this helmet is much more attractive feature wise.
Will low cut helmets still be used by combat marines? Or at least still used period? I just like the design of the low cut helmets better. The High Cut helmets just have a too much of a skateboard helmet kind look that... Just like the low cut helmets better, cause they look more traditional, much like the M1 helmet.
@@coletrain583the ech helmet is simply getting a cut so it’s not exactly getting replaced low cut helmets will remain existing for infantry also will remain even longer for boot camp Also I’ve seen the fast helmet from ops core be fielded alongside from this
What percentage of the marine Corp will be issued with these new high cut helmets? The video mentioned it’s given to infantries, will it be replacing the old ECH throughout the whole Corp in a couple decade or just those deployed overseas or face combat duties? (Like army’s new ihps helmets).
This is made funnier by the fact that the SMA announced a while back that the army is also supposed to be procuring a high cut helmet after the IHPS clusterfuck
A decade behind the times as always. Giving us shit that’s already outdated compared with currently issued SF kit. Thanks, Marine Corps. At least you’re consistent. Way to show you really care.
The flaw in your logic is that you are trying to directly compare conventional and SF. Different missions, different threats, different gear. Conventional is never outdated or ahead of SF and vice versa. Trying to compare the two shows you've bought into the cool guy/cool gear somehow equals combat readiness fallacy.
The only rifle rated ops-core helmet is the Fast RF1/R2 and it weighs 3.5lbs for a high cut and costs over 3 grand. No way in hell is that shit getting issued to grunts.
@Мартин Платун AFAIK, no helmets are NIJ rated, just tested to NIJ standards. And yes gentex makes ECHs, but those aren't ops-core branded, not even the high cut ones.
12:45 You just told us at least twice NOT to take the pads out of the helmet except to replace them, then you tell us we can stick them in our pockets to warm them up when it's cold? Make up your mind.
Probably is just just wearing them to avoid bad PR, I heard from vets that they only wear mask for pictures and videos that are gonna be used for stuff like this, but besides that like no one actually wears them.
@@gabrielrendon you clearly havent been on a military installation recently where masks are to be worn 100% of the time indoors regardless of vaccination status

Your telling me infantry will be getting this. So MARSOC will have the same and how will you be able to tell the difference between MARSOC and INFANTRY
Why would you even want to see the difference? MARSOC and Infantry are very rarely in the same place, and if they are in the same place, it’s because they’re working together. So why would there need to be a distinction anyway?
@@saladv6069 MARSOC wears a more traditional woodland camo but I’ve also seen them in Crye Precision Marpat while us Infantry wear FROGs (For now) or just regular cammies, depending on the weather and the unit.

@@HaloDude557 Nope, and I'm not gonna risk losing gear over velcro. If I can pull it off with my bare hands, then it's gonna come off when you bump into whatever.
