the game is absolutely ruined for me. i don't have luke cage (although i'm in 3k+ CL) so i can't defend against this bulls*** other than using rogue and she isn't that effective. so 8 out of 10 (!!!) opponents in 90+ ranks are playing this crap. and besides they stopped me from getting luke by redesigning token shop, great!! now i'm off the game until the season is done and i can get a new pool 3 card of choice (you can guess what i will pick). great design, devs...

That’s true, I watch this creator the most out of all, I just think the way he discusses the key parts of cards he does is pretty helpful and I enjoy his content
Ikr? the effect looks great and its a really good effect, i just got him in a lane being locked by the oponent storm and he just kept wrecking it turn by turn, lol.
Cyke's the sleeper mvp for me. In the few games I played with him in the deck, he won every game I played him by winning the lane he landed in. On the other hand, I had to cut shocker because he did nothing every time. And if Misty only buffed the cards in her lane, she wouldn't be toilet tier.
@@owa1985 I originally cut Shocker too but I put him back. The 1 energy he saves can enable SH+Hulk t6, You get +2 to Hulk and +1 to Sunspot if you play something like turn 3 Thing, or you can play turn 3 cyclops for 2, etc. So just pretend he's a 2/5.
Wave works REALLY well as a disrupt in this deck, as it makes hulk cost 4 and you get that "extra energy" on turn 6, as well as shutting down bounce/kitty decks.
So something really cool about the thing animation. If the opponent has Luke Cage, the animation will actually bounce off of the cards. I thought they was such a cool little thing that they really didn't need to add, especially since none of the other cards do this.
2:52 This is the same mistake people make when talking about Sunspot being a 1/5 or whatever. Cyclops doesn't become a 3/6 or a 3/8, he becomes a 4/6 or a 5/8, you're spending extra energy to get that power (synergies between those "unspent energy" cards does offset that though).
@@valentinpicart Most of the time that happens turn 1 or 2 when energy and hand size limit your options, before Cyclops gets played. If you're floating on turns 4-6, you are sacrificing something most of the time. It's not exactly like spending one extra energy because sometimes it does fit your play to float 1 regardless, but it isn't free either.
I've been running the A-Bomb Deck with Misty Knight swapped for Shocker, and it's been a ton of fun so far. Doing pretty well in Infinite too, although people probably aren't playing their best decks, to be fair.
Yeah. I'm actually uninstalling Snap right now. These decks are way beyond broken, and they're literally the only decks I'm getting paired against. Not a single win all night, lost ten ranks in a row. Every top meta deck loses to HE, it's not even close. Nor is it funny, or fun. I'm out.
@@lAvstxnl Not that simple. If you don't draw luke you just lose, and if you drop him too early you'll be hit by enchantress. Everyone in the 90's is playing HE and he's definitely broken. He'll be changed eventually because he's way too consistent

Really grateful you took the time to make a great video after the release. So many channels put out clickbait videos the minute the patch went out, but I’d way rather wait and get a higher-quality video with some actual playtime supporting the info.
Can't seem to win a game of Marvel Snap right now. Dropped from 55 to 38 last few days so I'm really hoping that a counter evo deck gets me back in the right direction. As always super appreciate all the work you do Cozy, keep up the amazing content :D
Important note for Abomination's discount: locations that statically give minus power (Sewer System, Necrosha, Negative Zone) DO count cards on them as afflicted.
My favorite thing about the secret abilities that they turned Hulk into a full-out angry power machine, and Cyclop’s beaming constantly - both cards got the respect they deserved!!
Yes! I’ve been waiting for a Cozy video about High Evo, he’s my most trusted deck builder. 😀 I went infinite this season, for the first time, thanks to his Sera deck, and discard deck.
Cozy, ive heard you say in other videos that shocker might be a slept on card, and youre totally right! Ive been running him in a misty knight Sunspot hulk lockjaw deck, and if youre able to get Shocker to hit she hulk, or hulk, you get a turn 6 where you can drop Hulk, she Hulk, and for craps and giggles, drop a wasp in the lockjaw lane on top of it. Just not a fair turn 6. The Hulks have awakened!
Might be a day 1 thing but I hate that I feel obligated to put Luke Cage and maybe Rogue in every deck I play now. The card warps opponents deckbuilding which is probably not healthy overall. Was super excited for the card and now I'm just frustrated.

Abuses moon girl abom and she hulk quite well form the 12/13 games i have played, small sample of course, but seems consistent, lots of ways to set up big power swings. I'm still 400 tokens shy of getting Hi Evo but i've had pretty good sucess against him with a pretty standard discard deck. Dropped Luke Cage in the flex spot but rarely play him
Late to the party so Cozy may have changed his mind by now but Shocker and Misty should be swapped, imo. She's so good. She can get power into locked down locations, charge up Sunspot even more, and her buffs don't get wiped by Killmonger if they land on 2+ cost cards.
I was not enjoying playing against High Evolutionary every game yesterday.... i had a daily mission that required me to win a location with 20 power or more 2 times and i could barely do that because all of the High Evolutionary cards reduce power all the time... kinda made me hate him already lol (i'm also only collection level 1050 so i don't have the best cards or anything so i had to try with pretty basic destroy, ongoing, on reveal decks)
Is HE’s effect an aura around the player who has them in their deck at the start of the game, or does it specifically affect the cards in the deck? For example, if Weirdworld swaps decks, would the opponent’s Abomination have the energy discount? If Oscorp Tower swaps a Misty Knight or Cyclops to an opponent, will its secret ability be unlocked?
I must say I didn't expect soooo many people buying him, it feel like the most buyed "big bad" of them all, but is ok, i was quite afraid of him but in the end they should rework only two of his cards those being The thing as a 4/8 instead as a 4/9 and wasp... come on a 0 cost that activates two times? The other ones are ok, when they use their effects i feel like you can cath up and shang chi just feel awesome right now 😂
Just put rogue and wave on my deck with all of the evo cards and man it's great so far. Just now i stole luke cage's from the oponent and in turn 5 i played abomination and wave while he used Sera... with wave i confidently play my Hulk knowing he'll only play 1 card and as a bonus, i get +2 because i only used 4 energy. I'm loving the hell out of this card!

Rocket Raccoon should be tweaked. It should be "On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, +2 Power. (If High Evo is in your opponents deck, this ability triggers 3 times)". He should get some correlated lore!
There's not even basic synergies among way more obviously lore-related cards like Captain America and Bucky, this is generally not how Snap operates with a couple of notable exceptions (Moon Girl & Devil Dino, Cloak & Dagger).
Ive found Juggernaut to be a really good card for these negative affliction decks. you can push things into lanes with cyclops (etc.), or use him for his normal utility. He's low cost too, so he can help fuel unspent energy turns for the other cards. Magik is good with unspent power decks too for extra wiggle room with energy. I dropped a 22 power Hulk turn 7 with that one extra power to fuel Misty knight, cyclops, and Sunspot. It seemed decent.
I did beat someone with their own High Evolutionary deck because Weird World gave me their cards. Cyclops on Bar Sinister location is legitimately strong.

i love High Evolutionary, i haven been farming HE decks with On Reveal Toxic, with luke cage, rogue, super skrull, it's great i jump from 50 to 86
I actually managed to pull of an 8 cuber by playing 40(!) power on the last turn with a discounted Abom, a Shocker'ed She-Hulk, the Hulk himself and Wasp. I played against an Ongoing-Thanos list and managed to beat a big Devild Dino boosted by Onslaught. Gotta love High Evo
Loving high evo control. But, like you said, Hulk finally feels like Hulk. He’s my favorite Marvel character by far, and it’s awesome having him be the powerhouse he should be
My preliminary ranking of High Evo cards: 7. The Thing: Definitely not bad, will be way better once less Luke Cages, but the fact that he’s 4 cost and likely will only reduce 2 cards’ power means he’s really not as effective for reducing abom as other way cheaper options 6. Shocker: Feels really strong, but is also incredibly hit or miss, feels like this one could go up, but I swear I always get high Evo or something bad stuck in the left position which is worthless to reduce 5. Wasp: Really solid, good value, just not quite as strong right now with Luke Cage. Also haven’t tried new Jane Jaw yet 4. Misty Knight: kinda slept on imo. The left over energy build is better than reduced energy build rn, which Misty knight is great for. If you get her down on turn 1 or 2 you can get her to 1-6 or 1-7 in value, also she can help boost filled up locations 3. Abomination: could be 1 with less Lukes cuz he’s basically a variation on She-Hulk (best 6-cost) 2. Cyclops: deceptively fantastic. Gets amazing value for a 3-cost, best activator for Abom of secret ability cards, and can also sneakily decrease enemy power on a filled locations. Honestly might be 1 once there is less Luke 1. Hulk: Smash Also, the only thing I dislike about High Evo is how weak his base card is. I love his card art and it sucks never being incentivized the play him. Even as a 4-5 or 4-6 playing him would still be a trade off since he has no on play effect and would mean you can’t play other cards. I get that he is meant to be weak as being a worthless card to balance how strong the other cards are, but honestly a power or two more would really not make the deck that much better imo
I think cyclops is the most under rated of the bunch. One of my first games against him I lost because of him on a stormed location, just kept draining power on that side!
Oh I completely missed the info that High Evolutionary is a Big Bad, thanks for specifying that Cozy. I had Iron Lad pinned because I think he'll be fun, but I guess I'll just go High Evo then (if I can get my hands on 200 more tokens in the next 4 days, which should be doable).
Cyclops is a baller in this deck imo he can really make a nebula or sunspot lane almost null and void, I would argue that Shocker is the least valuable one in the deck and Misty is decent but each to their own, I guess it also depends on how much energy you leave over each turn and what kind of a deck you are running but she can give a decent amount of power to other cards while Shocker just reduces the cost of the card in the leftmost side of your hand one time which is a bit meh depending on the card. I think it's clear we value different play styles though for HE and I admit I haven't experimented with too many decks outside of a base HE and a control version but Shocker being higher than Misty and Cyclops given the value they can provide seems weird to me and I have a hard time agreeing with your rankings there. Like I said though each to their own, we all value cards differently depending on the playstyle and you've probably tested more decks with him than I have so far. My biggest issue so far is all the whiners calling for nerfs on the first day of his release, I'm seeing it on nearly every video about high Evo and it's probably mostly from people that didn't save their tokens to buy him, I've been saving mine since I first heard about him and would be pretty pissed if the first 6k new release card I bought gets nerfed right off the bat. I think we should wait a bit and see how the meta and counters develop before we start whining like a petulant child and calling for nerfs. Is it possible a few nerfs might need to happen in the future? absolutely but things are new and fresh right now and it usually takes a while for solid counters to come into play so people should really chill for a bit. Great video as always though Cozy, I appreciate the work you put into your videos.
I agree with you all the people complaining for nerfs is terrible, HE is very good but he isn't that broken, a couple of nerfs are needed but not on the fucking first day. People are complaining bcs theres a lot of new cards instead of 1 so there are overwhelmed.
My favorite part of this video is how you shopped High Evo into all these cards. I am ashamed of how long it took for me to say "hey, wait a minute!" though.
They need to change it so that these abilities are only unlocked if and when you actually play the human evolutionary... Just having these ridiculous cards right off the bat is way OP and it's been very frustrating every single game going against the human evolutionary deck (and never drawing Luke Cage on top of having to force an unwanted card in every deck i play just to hopefully stand a chance)
I’ve never been a galactus player but last night I became one after all the 420 evo matches, to me galactus destroys this deck, which isn’t news, but man this deck wasn’t fun to play against every game
I was really hoping this card would renew my love for this game, but somehow it’s less enjoyable now lol. Hopefully the meta will settle down, but I doubt it. I’m guessing more people will perfect decks and the card will be more broken.
Yeah I’ve had essentially no fun since this card came out. Don’t like using it, don’t like playing against it. It’s just too ubiquitous right now as well
Great breakdown thanks. It seems like just yesterday, I was watching your first Marvel Snap videos. In some ways the game feels young, in other ways, the game feels like it's been around for 3 years. I never buy 6000 cards, but I bought Evolutionary. I never thought about Lockjaw until I saw this video. That is amazing. Rogue is winning so many mirror matches for me. But my big question is, does Galactus wipe this archetype out, or does it stand up to Galactus.
Y’all don’t sleep on the best high evo support card which is Ghost. She lets you drop your Luke cage safely or prevents you from missing timing with your rogue. She also helps you hit more targets with the thing and wasp. Don’t sleep on her.
Agreed that Hi Evo. Is worth 6K. Evo. Hulk was deciding factor for me. Finally, he feels good to play, as should be in a Marvel game. Recommend. (Caveat: Hi Evo. decks won’t be top all the time otherwise it’d be boring. Expect that.)
Im only collection lvl 2700 and was saving for thanos. But i play patriot a lot. So bought high evo. And got +8 ranks from playing a couple of battles. Opponents didnt know whatt hit them so 8 cube wins 😂 only lost 1 battle yet with him.
In the 1st shown deck, I would remove Psylock and add Collector, I think it would be better, because you are getting mamy cards from Agent Coulson and many others
Yes, his power level feels extremely strong. I started at low 80's and got to the 90's with him in just a little over an hour. I honestly feel like he'll get nerfed in some way eventually because he feels TOO consistent
hmmm just logged in and played a few games 3 out of 4 high evo and there's not even a great way to block it because they are not on reveal or ongoing! could be in for a bad couple of months just after it was interesting
Separate benefit for Misty and Cyclops, it messes up the mental math for your opponent. Your opponent winning a lane by 1or 2 power may not cut it if you have unspent energy on turn 6.
I already busted all my tokens on Iron Lad because it feels like he can fit in just every single deck, so I'll probably pass on High Evo, but he's a very cool card and he'll really change the game. I just dread having to include the same tech cards in every deck Just In Case.
Same here,I’ve been saving up for him then the Card in Store reset to Howard The Duck again then I read on other RU-vid comment that People were having same Problem until one of them said Update the Game and it worked then Evo popped up to Purchase for Tokens
