Gotta love an ALCO, Matty. Really enjoyed that segment where the loco is blowing the fallen leaves around underneath, and it also really shows some of the grades that are inherent to all rail lines. No aerials on this one, but it stands alone as another great post! Cheers.
I know the rain must be much more difficult to film in, not to mention bad for the camera, but there was just something peaceful about that lone Alco in the rain, rustling the Fall leaves. Great Job!
Thanks a lot! Yeah rain and electronics certainly don't mix, and I almost lost my favorite camera because of it. Fortunately after letting it dry out most of the night it's back in working order, so lesson learned! To catch and chase this lone Alco through that scenery though was worth it!
Yep, it started raining in Albion and it became pretty steady by the time I got to Brockport. As much as I wanted to stick around and continue filming, I didn't want the rain to damage my cameras.
Thank you! I believe this was the third time I've seen them run light power over the years, but not while the RoW was covered in leaves! And yes, I could've done without the rain lol. It not only cut my day short, but it almost cost me my favorite camera.
Finally got an answer for you, they're overflow for and/or from Bonduelle. I caught them today and they pulled a couple reefers from that siding before departing Brockport.
